We could say that many years ago the preservation of the environment was not given so much importance, and it makes sense because today we are experiencing the consequences of global warming as a result of our abuse and lack of awareness about our mother nature! now is that the oceanographic museums take a great value to teach us the importance of the oceans! today visit a small museum in la arrabida! enjoy my post!🕵️‍♂️👨‍🏫

The Arrabida Nature Reserve is located in a privileged location that embraces the mighty and majestic Atlantic Ocean, for many years it has been the livelihood of many Portuguese who currently fish in this reserve! The museum is dedicated to taking a walk on marine discoveries in Portugal, in addition to paying homage to the great Biologist Luiz Saldanha, this character was the pioneer of marine sciences in Portugal, accompanied by the use of the technology of the time!🤩🤩

All of us in our lives have visited a marine museum! It is like a compulsory subject to teach us from very small values and care about the sea! apart from being a great source of economic income in many countries, and I can say with great pride that Lisbon has one of the most fantastic aquariums on the planet! we are the second largest in europe!🕵️‍♀️🕵️‍♂️

Another great character that stands out in the museum is King D. Carlos, he was one of the first expeditionists in the arrabida mountain range, something that draws my attention about these marine museums is that there are no animals in fish tanks privatizing their freedom, this if we compare it to zoos! it is enough to make replicas of animals to learn a lot about them!😮😮

There are over 5000 scientific papers on Biology websites including marine science topics! marine museums have an advantage and that is that they have data records, these data can be computerized which helps preserve science for many generations! and well always the goal is: (expand human knowledge)🙂🙂

I was fascinated to read about Jose Vicente Barbosa, this great scientist in the 18th century shaped a theory that if there was life under the ocean at more than 550 meters, previously a theory called "azo theory" so the Irish Perceval traveled to these waters and I captured a specimen of a marine sponge at a depth of more than 1000 meters!💥💥

Continuing on D. Carlos this great explore made more than 12 trips to Setubal to carry out marine surveys and discover marine biodiversity at different depths! I also did great work on the concern of unmonitored commercial fishing!🦈🐬

The ocean is home to almost 1,000,000 species, here the importance it has on the biodiversity of the planet, while I walk in the museum I am surprised by the large number of organisms preserved in formaldehyde and they all have different aspects, they are all evolutionary machines that adapted to the different depths by making changes to your anatomy and physiology!😋😋

Incredible post! It is definitely a treasure to have a museum like the one you show in the city. The information that these places give us must always be very valuable, that allows us to know our seas and our species much better. Very good photos!🐬
