FACES OF WILD FLOWERS - a short collection of springtime portraits
For the start ... on the opening shot ...
... you can take a look at the Centaurea scabiosa flowers, photographed on the meadow near the sea.
On the next photograph, the second shot of this little collection ...
... you can see the tiny flowers of the Allium commutatum ...
... a Mediterranean species of wild onion, that grows mostly on the rocky slopes and meadows near the sea.
Carthamus lanatus on this photograph, a thistle species ... is another Mediterranean plant from the rocky seaside habitat.
Here are some partially dried out flowers from the coastal meadow ... but this time I can't tell you the name of the species ... because I just don't know. It looks like some kind of clover.
This elegant white flower ...
... is the flower of the Silene latifolia ... a very common plant in this area, that grows on meadows, both in the inland and by the sea.
This small flower ...
... was also photographed near the sea ...
... on the thorny Ononis spinosa plant. And for the end ...
... another look at the Centaurea scabiosa.
As always in these posts on HIVE, the photographs are my work.
