The University That Shaped the Woman I Am Today

I have had this imagination at some point in my life. I imagined what my life would have been and the different set of people I would have met if I ended up not schooling at the university I graduated from.

This is because, right from time, I never nursed the idea of going to a school of dentistry. Anything dental was not part of my package at all, so finding myself in that school was a totally different ballgame, but everything happens for a reason, I think. Maybe I would have ended up a better or worse person if I didn't attend my school, who knows.

Obviously, if I had gotten admission to my first-choice university with my desired course of study, I would have met different kinds of people other than my circles today. I would have been practicing a different profession, and that means meeting different kinds of people as well in the field. That's simply how life is designed to be; you can't be here and there at the same time. Wherever you find yourself, you will begin to socialize with a set of people within the environment. It could shape your life for good or bad.

I once thought maybe my life would have been better than how it is now, or maybe not, but in all, I am grateful for where I am today and the good people I am blessed with.

My school made me develop this resilience spirit; my soft, kind of person became a strong woman by force with the kind of environment I was exposed to. I had not enough cash from my parents to sustain me in school back then, yet there were piled-up bills to attend to, ones that I couldn't just escape, but good enough, I met like-minded people, some who came from rich families but were yet very humble. With their advice and support, we were all hustling one business and another in school, Selling dental materials, full scalp papers for quizzes, etc., and making profit.

They were the type that detests seeing a score of "C" in their exam results, and that made us all become so committed and refuse any good result; it was nothing but the best we all wanted. I can't deny that the set of people I met in my school changed my mindset for good.

My life was shaped, and to date, I have proven to be the same resilient woman, strong, a go-getter, name it, and even in bitter life experiences, no pressure weighs me down. That was our spirit back then, and I can proudly say that my life got shaped for good through my school. The impact still tells in my life to date and for good.

Life is filled with different opportunities, and it doesn't matter if I found myself in my choice school or not. What matters is that I have been making progress in life with where I am today and the people I am privileged to meet, so there is no need to think about what would have happened or not. Ahead, ahead, with positive energy, while I remain focused on pursuing my dreams.

Yes sis! Life is designed in its own way. We can’t change anything on our own.

Am happy you became a stronger woman 👩🏻 through the experiences encountered because that is the only way to succeed in life. No regrets at all.

Sending you warmest love ❤️ and hugs 🤗. Enjoy your weekend 😍

Life is designed in its own way. We can't predict the future. We can say we want to read nursery in school and later read computer science or History, we can't predict how life works. I'm glads that despite everything you're still thankful to God which is really important. And also happy that you became a courageous woman despite what life throw on you, I love your spirit and determination.

Things would be different here the choices were different in the past. But at the same time we would not be the current one if we did something different. So, I don't worry too much thinking about it.
