Greetings everyone. It is another time for contest post from Hivelearners. On this episode of the contest, we will be talking about how technology has affected the educational system.

I must really commend the effect of tech on the educational system. It has made learning easier, even though my country has not fully utilize the best of it. Well, maybe because it is still a developing country.

Technology has made storing of students' file easier. Instead of the long and heavy pile of student biodata and profile as hard copy, with the advent of technology, everything can be stored and updated in the computer. This in turn will make the schools' administrative offices look tidier and pleasant to the eyes. Instead of an office with a stockpile of files here and there and everywhere on the shelves.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, a lot of online schools and courses sprang up to minimze physical contact among people. I guess we are all aware of the global lockdown. Schools were closed. When people have had enough of the effect of the lockdown o. educational system, majority of the educational institute switched their learning online.

This was on till the lockdown was lifted. Even till date some courses are still left and remained as an online course. They saw that it was practicable and possible to continue learning online and they kept it that way. Thanks to Mr Technology.

Furthermore, we also have computer based tests (CBT) these days. This is where all test questions will be on the computer and each participant will login to take the test. This can be done at the comfort of our homes in computers, tablet or phones or at centers authorized to allow people take the test. This has in many ways minimized the rate of cheating during examinations.

Availability of books on electronic devices. Technology has made it easier to access books online. You do not have to surf through book stores and libraries to get a particular book to read. The problem is it might even be out ofstock at a bookstore but will always be available online for download. When you have it downloaded on your devices, reading can begin. This has reduced the hassle of sourcing for books.

To butress the point above, I watched a particular Youtube video and the guest on the podcast recommended a book as well a general website where the book can be downloaded. So because I was so interested in the topic he was talking about and wanted to learn more about it, I went on the website and walla! I found the soft copy of the highly rated book.

Technology made it possible. It saved me money, time and energy.

Technology has also created channels for different aides to education. For example Youtube channels has a lot of information's about virtually everything. During my undergraduate days, one of my lecturers always refer us back to some Youtube videos on whatever we could have learnt in the class that day. He will advise us to expand our knowledge and get more clarification from YouTube videos, and trust me, it did helped.

Technology has made lots of positive impact on education.
Thank you for reading.
