Hive Learners: Two Different Kinds of Mushrooms

avatar

Hallo.. Good afternoon friends of the #hivelearners community wherever you are, meet me again @abizahid. I wish my friends all a good day today.

Mushrooms or other names as we know, namely fungi are living things that can be said to be close to us, humans. Don't we often see, for example, a piece of white bread or a biscuit that has expired and is then overgrown with fungus? Or as another example, have we ever seen a fallen tree and then mushrooms grew around it? Indeed, if we look at the two of course there are differences between the two mushrooms in these two places.

On this occasion I am not talking about the two differences between these types of fungi and also I am not talking about the definition of fungi and their groups. On this occasion I will only share and explain to my friends all two different types of mushrooms, and also I found in two different places.

A. The commune of Schizophyllum is a species of fungus in the genus Schizophyllum. This mushroom resembles a solid wave or wavy or Chinese fan. "Gillies" or "split gills" vary from creamy yellow to pale white. The cap is small, 1-4 millimeters in diameter with a dense but chewy body texture. These mushrooms are known as split gill mushrooms due to the unique nature of the "gills" which are divided longitudinally at the bottom of the cap. This fungus is found all over the world.

B. Agaricus is a genus of fungi containing edible species and with possibly more than 300 members worldwide. The genus includes the common (button) mushroom (Agaricus bisporus) and the field mushroom (A. campestris), the dominant cultivated mushrooms in the West. Members of Agaricus are characterized by having a fleshy hood or pileus, from below which a number of radiating plates or gills grow, which produce naked spores. They are distinguished from other members of their family, Agaricaceae, by their brown-brown spores.
