Ring Butterfly (Ypthima angustipennis)

avatar

I would like to come up with a little butterfly that I found perching on the broken leaf near the forest steam. It was swinging for some time before it finally stopped on this leaf. So after making sure, it was going to stop there, I started to pick the gears and started to take some pictures. Using DSLR allowed me to take pictures from a distance range. This butterfly is known as Ring Butterfly (Ypthima angustipennis), in the family Nymphalidae, it is much found throughout the forest and sometimes it is also seen swinging around the thick bush. It likes to spend time near the stream by flying here and there. To capture its pictures, I had to act fast or it would disappear from my sight at any minute.
