Fungifriday - a group of tiny mushrooms growing on a dead areca nut tree
It's been raining heavily here for several days now. Usually, after a heavy downpour, mushrooms appear everywhere. This was a golden opportunity for me to hunt for them. I no longer needed to venture into the wilderness to find beautiful mushrooms. I simply explored the gardens of the residents not far from where I live. My first target was a garden filled with areca nut trees. Usually, after heavy rain, fallen or dead areca nut trees will be filled with mushrooms.
My suspicions were correct, as soon as I stepped foot in the garden, I was greeted by a cluster of tiny mushrooms. When I saw them, my eyes lit up, and my heart skipped a beat. I couldn't wait to get close to them to enjoy and capture every detail of their beauty.
The mushrooms I encountered were very small, but they grew densely together, making them easy to spot. At first glance, they looked ordinary, but upon closer inspection, they became extraordinary, like dimly lit white lanterns in the forest. Truly breathtaking.
There is one thing that most attracts my attention about this mushroom, namely the surface under the hood. There are neatly arranged lamellas that look like a fan line full of elegance. Every detail of the lamella looks very beautiful, as if the lamella had been carved directly by a painstaking artist. The lamella manages to add an elegant impression to this tiny mushroom.
It wouldn't be complete without mentioning the stems. The stems are very small and appear fragile, but they are actually very sturdy and firmly attached to the medium they rest on. In the garden I explored, I didn't find any other mushroom species. Perhaps these beautiful mushrooms appeared gradually, considering the rain had only come recently, only a few days ago.
