My Contribution #FungiFriday by @ewkaw

Hello everyone...

Without realizing it, the long-awaited day has come, where today many mushroom lovers want to share their mushroom prey. Likewise, I want to share a photo of a mushroom that I have captured into a beautiful photo and I want to share it with my friends in this beloved community. Because every country has different mushrooms, so does the country where I live, namely Indonesia. Indonesia is a tropical country that has two seasons, namely the rainy season and the dry season.

Currently in my country is experiencing a dry season or drought, which makes it very difficult for me to find mushrooms, because we know mushrooms will grow in places with sufficient water or moist soil. However, I still believe that my journey today will be fruitful to get mushrooms that I can share with my friends in this beloved community. My trip to look for mushrooms this time had to cover a longer distance than usual, due to unfavorable weather conditions in the area usually looking for some mushrooms, and I traveled to the highlands and hoped to get some mushroom objects that I could photograph.

My goal in looking for mushrooms is not only to capture them into beautiful photos but also to take home so that I can consume them with my beloved family. Mushrooms are very delicious food, my family and I usually cook this mushroom with a mixture of instant noodles. However, there are also many mushrooms that cannot be consumed, if you want to consume them, you must first know the types of mushrooms that can be consumed.

Below are some photos of mushrooms that I managed to capture through photos, and I want to share with friends in the #FungiFriday community

Neofavolus Alveolaris

This is a very pretty mushroom with fan-shaped or kidney-shaped hexagonal pores, and usually grows on fallen and rotting woody twigs. Like the mushrooms I met today, I saw a very beautiful mushroom with yellowish color and scales and has very beautiful pores on the inside of this mushroom like a honeycomb.

I was interested in capturing them into beautiful photos, I took out the macro lens and attached it to my smartphone to take some photos of these mushrooms. After successfully taking photos from several different angles, I finally searched for the Latin name of this mushroom through a google search and I found this mushroom called Neofavolus Alveolaris. This fungus grows initially red to a cream color and finally turns white when this fungus dries.

Xylocoremium

This is a very beautiful mushroom, has a white color and if we look from the edges this mushroom is very similar to coral in the ocean. This fungus I found thrives on wood branches that have fallen and rotted.

This mushroom has a very small size and I immediately took out a macro lens to capture this mushroom into a beautiful photo, after successfully capturing this type of mushroom I searched for the Latin name of this mushroom through a google search and I found that this mushroom is known as Xylocoremium, and this fungus is a type of Xylariaceae. This fungus is often found in temperate and tropical areas.
