My Name Is Red!

My name is Red, but I'm also known as the Collared Fibrecap, or Inocybe Cincinnata in scientific terms; nevertheless, you can just call me Red. I'm a member of the family Inocybaceae.

An amateur photographer approached me one day. He eagerly emphasized his intention to photograph me before complimenting me vehemently, "You are so gorgeous."

Of course, I didn't mind; I let him photograph me as many times as he wanted without endangering myself or the environment.

I wasn't alone at the time; my next-door neighbor, the Mycena family's tiny umbrella, was with me. In fact, if I'm being honest, she's actually prettier than me. I was bald and rusted, and she wore a beautiful umbrella-like hood. As a result, she should be the one receiving kudos from the amateur photographer, not me!

Despite the fact that the little umbrella isn't red, we chose to participate in the "Red Mushroom" festival of #FungiFriday, which was initiated by @ewkaw.

Happy #FungiFriday! 😉

Thanks @ewkaw. I'm running out of ideas for scientific writing, and it's becoming tedious from my perspective. So I just wrote it as if it were a fictional story. 😁
