Now I Am Become Death, Destroyer Of Worlds

(Edited)

I have seen the future and it's more hellish than I could have imagined.

Last night on a famous Japanese prank show called Dokiri Grand Prix they debuted possibly one of the most terrifying things I've seen in a while. It was a robotic version of the monster from the movie The Thing, a human head with legs.

I always thought the killer, cold robot would be the most terrifying thing to hunt down humans, until I saw them put a human like head on one.

Imagine walking through a dark building and being hunted down by a platoon of these soul less killing machines with a Jim Carey head or Donald Trump head, or a Ye head!

Or maybe, just maybe we will be able to harness the nightmare as man's new, better, best friend, the 6 Million Dollar Good Boy.

What ever the future holds, I want Tom Selleck on my side.

Thanks for reading!

They’ve been using that robot for about a year now. It’s funny, isn’t it.

I can’t imagine how I would react to encountering it. On one episode a few months ago, one of the female guests kicked it across the room. That was pretty impressive, actually. Most people either freeze up or run and try to hide somewhere.

I know most of the reactions are fake, but occasionally you'll get a real one, like the girl kicking it a you mentioned.

I can't get over how dystopian it is. I've seen these things with rifles attached to their backs. And there was the Black Mirror episode in which they are armed with knives.

Swarms of robots have been talked about in sci-fi for a long time, but it was hard to imagine until now. Send in the first wave of drones, followed by these things.

If they made the eyes capable of lighting up red and sending out a laser-like beam, that would really make that TV show prank terrifying.

It does sort of condition you for the future face of war, doesn’t it?

Ya, it does. If you haven't seen the episode of Black Mirror about the killer robots check it out.

I’ve never seen any of the episodes of that show, actually. Maybe one day I’ll get around to it. 😉

Add a gun or a knife to it and the face of your child or wife and it would be your worst nightmare..
