I'm always in awe of what you create in sand. The inner details of the light bulb are so well crafted and suggestive of reality. It popped in the first photo. Really interesting post.

Thank you @nineclaws. I really wasn't sure if I could get the bulb to work in negative but once I had removed all the sand from the form there was no going back.
Your comment inspired me to see what it looks like in positive.
I must say I am happy with that. the glass support in the centre looks transparent. I must add this image to the post.
You're welcome! I love the negative. I had to really stare at your first photo, it was so delicate (I've broken lots of bulbs, lol) and just like the real thing. You can definitely see it in the positive, that's a cool photo too and yes, a good addition to your post.
