iPod (En/Es) | POB photoconcest: Technology — Tecnología
The iPod was an innovative product lunched by Apple in 2001, which revolutionized the music industry and boosted the revenues of the company. In spite that incorporated more functionalities, now days they are not produced anymore since all the smartphones (in particular the iPhones) do the main function of the iPods , i.e. play music files.
The iPod of the image is of my property, it is a 4th generation iPods and I bought it in 2004, and it stills work perfectly and it still keeps the original plastic cover protection!!
The iPod is attached to a sound system, i.e. loudspeakers.
El iPod fue un producto innovador que lanzo Apple en el 2001, revolución la industria musical y sus ventas aumentaron de manera significativa las ganancias de la compañía. Sin embargo ya no se produce, porque sus funciones (principalmente reproducir archivos de música, a pesar de que modelos posteriores incorporaron mas funciones) las realiza cualquier teléfono inteligente, en particular los iPhones.
El iPod de la imagen es de mi propiedad, es un modelo que corresponde a la cuarta generación del producto. Lo compré en el 2004, a pesar de ello todavía funciona perfectamente y conserva su cobertura plástica protectora !!! En la imagen el iPod esta conectado a un sistema de altavoces especialmente diseñado para estos dispositivos.
The camera used was of a Samsung Galaxy S20 and Gimp was the software used in the edition of the images.
La cámara usada fue la de mi Samsung Galaxy S20 y la edición de las imágenes la realicé en Gimp.

Those were the days! I still have my first iPod. Couldn't throw it away. And yes, it is still working. But like you said, the smartphones have taken their place.
These device is very robust. Even I used it as an external hard drive.
Ah... I remember that!

I heard they just stopped producing these iPODs.
The latest model that was in production was the iPod touch. I understand they were produced until 2019.
