Why Mars?

The space race in the 60s, was a success, more specifically in 1969, man stepped on soil other than the earth for the first time, the moon was the chosen place to make the landing, the reconnaissance, but all this in the last century. Over the years, scientists, astronomers from space agencies and others involved in projects, have turned their eyes to another star, the planet Mars, the second closest planet to Earth.

The 1960s were an important period for mankind, if not the most important of the 20th century. Man accomplished a feat that had never before been accomplished, landing on lunar soil. However, the ultimate goal of the American mission was to achieve the feat to be the first country to have done that.

However, what fascinates the specialists of the space environment and even of humanity today, is the one that has on Mars. Was it possible in some period of antiquity that Mars was habitable? any environmental catastrophe that made it inhospitable? It can be said that they are looking for vestiges of ancient civilizations, raw materials that do not exist here on earth, for the manufacture of ultra modern spacecraft or in search of alien technologies lost in the Martian soil. However, they are hypotheses.

Therefore, the space race, the search for some form of intelligent life besides us, as well as planets with habitable climate, are far from over, I would say: It is just beginning. As much as we seek information, the record about these things is small and of little relevant information. It remains for each of us to wait, who knows, one day, the answer to all of this can finally be discovered and finally revealed.
