World's tallest tree in danger
World's tallest tree in danger

I would risk receiving a fine of 5,000 dollars and 6 months in jail for visiting Hyperion, the tallest tree in the world, it sounds incredible, but there are people who believe that it is worth it and it is quite impressive, its entire crown protrudes through much to the rest of the trees of the forest and without a doubt visiting it would be a magical and exciting experience…

The original image taken by photographer MIchaek Nichols for National Geographic does not show Hyperion, it served to illustrate an article on California's redwood parks and mentions among other trees Hyperion, with a spectacular height of 115 meters, almost twice the height of most cathedrals.

When you can't see beyond the first 50 meters, it doesn't really matter how high it is, so you go thinking that you will find this spectacular tree that dominates the forest, but when you get there you only see the bases of many trees and you wonder yes it was worth it, but the damage is done and because of its popularity it may be that Hyperion's years are numbered.

When a giant redwood called The Dyerville fell in 1991 in Humboldt Redwood State Park, locals in nearby towns believed it was a locomotive crash and the impact was detected by seismographs, therein lies the answer to the philosophical question of "If a tree falls in the forest and no one is there to hear it, it makes a noise" Well, yes, it makes a noise that you shit, even if you are in your little house miles away.
The fragility of these old giants does not remind us that our influence affects ecosystems in a much more extreme way than we like to believe, the trunks, branches and foliage of sequoias and trees in general are home to all kinds of organisms from the moss and the microorganisms that inhabit it, even birds, mammals and insects, and are the main organisms that slow down climate change.

Man made Climate change is a complete hoax.
Eroding 12 ft of soil is ridiculous. Ferns don't hold the soil together like you think, the forest floor is composed of mulch, fallen branches and leaf litter, which doesn't erode/wash away. All trees have stabilizing horizontal reaching roots that hold the tree up more than provide it with nutrients, those branching roots aren't fragile what so ever. The taproot of a tree reaches about as deep as its height, which is what mainly feeds the tree, while the anchoring roots usually feed their corresponding primary branches. If you visit the giant sequoia/ redwoods you'll realize that there is almost no vegetation on the forest floor, especially little to no brush or smaller trees because the light is so scarce only very few plants grow, like ferns, another reason being that the litter is inhospitable to most trees and shrubbery because of the excessive tannin, and it is this litter that protects against erosion, yet claiming ferns hold back 12 ft of erosion is ridiculous, and even then its hardly going to uproot a tree.

I only transmit what the experts say, and I am not a botanist, some things you say seem logical to me, others do not! I wasn't there to assure you of anything, and the most critical thing is the "fashion", surely that does cause damage!
Thanks for your time!
What doesn't seem logical about what I say?
In effect your a pandering monkey to Authority? You don't consider or think critically what you "transmit" and simply relay whatever is in fashion? How are you not the plague of the earth, the destruction of all that is truth and right? I have been there, I witnessed the insignificance of being dwarfed by these massive trees, I noticed the forest and how nothing apart from a few ferns grew there, I also saw these trees growing on the side of rivers, on the slopes of mountains, and never thought of them as FRAGILE.
I also looked extensively into the the hoax of man made climate change and I immediately recognized the frauds who pander to such incredibly moronic nonthoughts as yourself, with incomplete models and undisclosed values and formulas, and effectively endorsed only by their degree, but I doubt you even bothered to look at their fraudulent work, you simply settled for spreading their Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt while now feigning appreciation and critical thinking, handwaving what I said as not seeming logical.
You don't care to correct or inform yourself, you're only here to farm some crypto with low effort rephrasing of bullshit green agenda propaganda, which you think is in fashion with Climate change, what a moronic nonhought term, I doubt you even bothered to consider the nonsense of such an idea, as if 30-40 degree changes from day to night, and even more throughout the year has ever entered your mind, instead you probably sucked like a brainless moron on the alluring 1-2 degree change in average temperatures over the course of decades and then swallowed without objection the idiotic implications of a few hundred years from now when this planet will be a ball of fire based on those bankrupt models.
The only thing I am going to answer is two things, he has serious problems of attention deficit and hyperactivity, among other things as you can see, seek help.
Finally, if you think you are a plague, extinguish yourself on a bridge!
To date we are the only part of the universe that became aware.
See you never!
Butthurt plague of the earth, promoting Climate Change fud and completely not bothered to correct themselves! Fuck off you unaware mass of lies and manipulation.
Classic plague of the earth response: go commit suicide!
No faggot, I don't want you to go kill yourself.
Reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
REEEEEEEEEEEEE!
The ferns!!! They stole the ferns!
Erosion, erosion everywhere!
Thanks for this post. I didn´t know about this magnificent tree and it´s really sad that it´s now in danger because of us, humans :( Glad to support this post as it got nominated to my latest upvote giveaway. Keep up the good work and ignore that troll here in the comment section, he is a notorious troll and pathetic agitator here on Hive ;)
