Humans would have to live millions of years to be able to notice the changes in the length of the day on Earth, and regarding the climate or sea level, the effect that the inner core can exert is also on a minuscule scale. Chinese researchers speak of a cycle in the movement of the nucleus of about 70 years, while the line of progressive increase in temperatures has been escalating for about 150 years.

And the magnetic field, this originates from the movement of the internal nucleus and therefore the terrestrial magnetic field would have to be affected; an inversion of the magnetic poles can occur, this could occur for reasons that we still do not know, it occurs when the North Pole changes to the South, I clarify, the magnetic poles, not the geographic ones.

This change supposes a period of Chaos and strong temporary weakening in our magnetic field that protects us from the solar wind and lightning, And it is true that the movement of the inner core affects the magnetic field, but again the effect in this case is very small and it will not trigger a reversal of the magnetic poles because as I said before the cycle that the Chinese researchers talk about is about 70 years while the reversal of the poles occurs on a scale of hundreds of thousands of years, although quite frequently irregular.

The latest estimate is that 1 to 5 events occur every million years, if this cycle, now discovered, causes a reversal of the poles, we would have to suffer one every 70 years.

The conclusion is that the finding is scientifically very interesting but it has no effects on our daily life and certainly they are not as spectacular as some media announce, in reality they are minimal effects because the nucleus has not stopped, it continues to move, but at a slower pace than normal, it is a minimal change that produces minimal effects, within a cycle that is the one they have now discovered.
