Space missions of the next decade

The report of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, Medicine and Medicine of the USA was presented, where it expresses the recommendations that all private and public agencies should take for the advancement of science.

In addition to the recommendations, the missions that space agencies should carry out were presented, such as, for example, sending a probe and an orbiter to Uranus, so that this mission begins at this same time, it would be called UOP by its acronym, the mission would consist to send an atmospheric probe that would explore the clouds of this ice giant and another orbiting probe that, as its name suggests, would orbit the planet for several years in order to study its magnetosphere, its rings, its 27 moons and try to find out what its interior, its origin and one of the strangest things in the solar system, the very strange position of Uranus, because Uranus rotates lying down, it is something extremely rare, it is believed that at some point in its history it must have received the impact of a body from the size of a planet of a planet of a mass similar to that of the earth or in a greater course and that tremendous blow was the one that knocked it down that is the theory the theory that currently exists, this mission could launch in 2031.

The second great mission is that of the orbiter of Enceladus, the moon of Saturn, a small world barely 500 kilometers in diameter composed mainly of ice, but which has a sub-subsurface ocean, from this moon jets of gas and particles originate in the ocean.

The idea of ​​the mission would be for the ship to be able to analyze this material that is fired into space, to be able to capture it and analyze it in detail and thus learn about the characteristics of the ocean and its possible habitability, because in principle Enceladus, despite its small size, turns out that it could have all the necessary elements for life to have arisen in it.

These two would be the star missions, the great missions for the next ten years, but there are more proposals, which prioritize eight more issues in what they call new frontiers 6, they prioritize a centaur orbiter and lander, a mission to collect samples on Ceres and bring them to earth; also sample return and capture samples from the surface of a comet; achieve the multiple flyby of Enceladus; create a lunar geophysical network; send a Saturn probe; send an orbiter to titan and explore the surface of venus with a rover.

These are some of the missions that have been proposed and that we will surely see some of them being carried out within these 10 years.
