Hello my dear friends and colleagues of @proofofbrain today I bring a really interesting topic regarding the advances in the use of Blockchain technology in education and is that since 2019 some universities, especially in Spain employ Blockchain technology for the issuance and certification of university degrees, really the initial approach seemed very striking to me but when delving into the reasons why it has opted for the use of the network to issue professional degrees were even more interesting and totally valid.

The chaos generated by the pandemic and the confinement where for security reasons university education institutions were closed brought about a general collapse due to the inability to issue professional degrees, this in turn had repercussions in the economic sector because many people who could opt for a better job by obtaining a degree could not do so due to the lack of this legal document.

The solution was to issue the degree electronically, however, being a legal document that accredits a person to perform a job it was thought that it could be forged if someone wanted it so Thomas Signe offered a solution through its company SIGNE with which it makes use of the blockchain so that the titles become cryptographic fingerprints of the blockchains that represent the universities, In this way a degree is issued that can be printed and that reaches the person in PDF but which in turn has a cryptographic code that identifies it within the blockchain where this information is shared with anyone who needs to verify its existence.

SIGNE uses Blockchain technology to make the degree unique and unrepeatable, so that the information contained in it can be accessible to anyone who wants to hire the person and verify their data. Another benefit is the savings in terms of payment fees for the issuance of the degree for both universities and individuals. This company that started in 2019 only in Spain already offers its services in Colombia and Peru turning universities into part of the Blockchain and each of its graduates into a cryptographic code that on the other hand feeds the Big Data.

So friends, Blockchain technology is already a reality in all dimensions and spaces of human life, we are facing the biggest changes that humanity has seen, I would dare to say, because if we already talk about that through the blockchain we identify ourselves with a cryptographic code and that the passport or visa will no longer exist, imagine all that this technology implies in the next 5 years due to the accelerated changes.
