Hello my dear friends of Proof of Brain today I am going to share a topic that I follow very closely for some years now, because I am a fan of ancient civilizations especially those that made up our indigenous America and today their traces are becoming deeper and deeper, today I am going to talk about the road of the dead (Calzada de los muertos) and Pyramid of the Sun in Teotihuacan México.

In 2017 the Autonomous University of Mexico and the University of Barcelona gathered a group of researchers, archaeologists, anthropologists, historians with the most advanced techniques for the study of archaeological remains to study the center of the city of Teotihuacan in search of the answers of how life was more than 500 years ago when the Pyramids of the Sun and the Moon were constituted with ends of the centers and populated neighborhoods of this important city of the pre-Hispanic civilization.

This important city has the largest and richest archaeological ruins in all of Mesoamerica, this important city and its origin even today is considered a mystery to anyone who wants to know its origin and abandonment, researchers from the Institute of Anthropology and History of Mexico say that its name means "where the gods were created" its construction so far, according to the archaeological remains dates from 800 b.c and its abandonment occurred around 200 b. c. and its abandonment took place around 200 b.c. Even when Hernan Cortes arrived to what is known today as Mexico in 1527, he passed by the remains of the city that was presumably abandoned after a voracious fire that destroyed almost all the crops and a good part of the population.

Today the technologies have served as support to the two universities both the Autonoma de Mexico and Barcelona Spain to unveil mysteries that before would have taken much more time or simply would not have been discovered, among them is for example the use of drones to photograph with infrared and discover the total area of the city that has more than 22 kilometers, where interesting subway passages that connect the city below the pyramids arise, This update of the photographic registry of the total area of Teotihuacan is the second one that is realized as registry of the area and the first one with so much precision thanks to the drones designed and equipped for it, the first one was realized in 1960 and was in charge of the Archaeologist René Millon who realized a topographic map that is used until today, his photographies were realized in an airplane and thanks to him archaeologists of the world have made important discoveries.

Currently with drones, an area of 500,000 thousand meters long called the causeway of the dead is being studied, this study is called photogrammetry where additional geophysical studies have been incorporated with magnetic gradient and a georadar that takes samples for chemical analysis of the residues found in the archaeological remains. Other technological advances are the study with radar antennas and an electrical tomography equipment, with this it was possible to discover a secret passage under the Pyramid of the Moon that connects with the road of the dead from where the archaeologists have taken evidence to point to this city as an important city of religious pilgrimage and where the possible door to the underworld of the Mayan civilization can be located.

Thanks to technology, radar and photogrammetry techniques have been used to establish how the social groups were distributed and the areas destined for craft workshops, neighborhoods, temples, houses, warehouses, plazas, streets and much more. Hence the importance of the use of technologies for the discovery and understanding of humanity since its ancestral origins.
