Natural Changes that occurs in your Brain as you grow older (Part 2)
Welcome to the part 2 of my article on the natural changes that occur in your brain as you grow older. In the previous part, i elaborated on the changes that happens to our brain as we age between the age 0 to 50 years. This is the continuation of the part. Kindly follow me as i take you through this tour to unravel the rest tips.
- During your 60s
This period of one's lifetime is said to be an advance one. You become absent minded more often and hardly remember things once a day unlike when under 30 when you could be absent-minded to recall once a week. At this stage of your life, you are able to store messages at various parts of your brain but it now takes more time to process and retrieve your information depending on your need at that moment.
It has been observed at the University of California that most people at their 60s find easily gets distracted and takes more time to reprocess their earlier moment. In
-During your 70s and Above
At this point in time, you'll need a book to outline your experiences and keep track of some items you may easily forget. You're able to recall about 40 to 50% of unconnected word given to you to read shown a memory test, while a young adult of 25years of age can recall virtually all 100% of words they read. It has been discovered through research that memory declines by 30% at this age and it's easier to remember a longtime experience than the cloth you wear yesterday due to a long-term encoded memory in the brain which triggers amygdala (a primal part of your brain which is activated by our strong emotions) to program such an Occassion more rigidly in your long-time memory.
So It is very wise to desist from any brain damaging food or lifestyles as this make the loss of memory more pronounced as you age. Maintain a healthy lifestyle, balanced diet and exercise frequently, spend less time on television or computer screen due to the potential eye damaging effect of blue rays from computer screens. Take more of fruit and desist from food with artificial sweeteners. Cut down on alcohol intake, desist from hard drugs as its effect is capable of causing a longtime damaging impact. Prevent is said to be better than cure as "Health is Wealth".

This is informative....thanks for sharing...@daniky
Thank you brother @informationvault. You're very welcome😊

Man, the 60s is so scary!
I can do most of the healthy living to keep be whole at that age but one this I cannot do is spend less time looking at screens. I'm always with my phone or my laptop or watching the television. There is no escaping this for sure.
And I'm sure scientists don't know enough about how we would be in old age after all these screens we are looking at because these phones and screen looking habits are quite new to mankind. It could lead to something really devastating in old age.
Let me add a tip though: there are some glasses that can help mitigate the effect of looking at screens too much, I haven't bought them but the plan is to do that real soon.
Blue light protection glasses. I'm conflicted on whether to get them or not. People swear it works for them but there's no scientific backing to it. Scientists say it's just a placebo effect and all you really need to do is reduce your screen time to prevent migraines and tiredness of the eyes.
Yo, fuck!
I'd only been hearing about these glasses and thinking of trying it someday. Before replying this comment of yours I did a quick Google search and found that scientists are saying the glasses are ineffective. O boy😂😂
Are we not dead like this? There's no way we can reduce screen time enough. But well, for about 3 years now my phone is always in night mode and I try to not look at screens when everywhere else is dark, I try to light up the place.
I'll definitely make my findings regarding this blue light protection glasses. Thanks for making the name known
Welcome!
You are right. I think looking at the screen too much will affect us when we get older as you said. That means I need to start working on this invention, so once all of you gets old, I will be selling them to you at a profit...hahaha hahaha
what do you think?
Hahahaha. It's a great idea.
Yeahhhhh.....dancing.....thank you very much sweetie
pls I'll like to know the made or model of those glass probably this could help someone here.
Despite this, please you'll still need to limit the amount of time spent on screens to save your sense of sight for future purpose.
Yea, I can only try but chances of success are slim. Thank you.
About those glasses you've seen from replies to this comment that they're not effective, right?
I must say we need to take care of ourselves while we are young so that we won't have to suffer so many declines by the age 60 or 70
I may want to fight nature, and still be able to recall things as though I am in my youth...lol
Don't mind me, I have watched too many science fiction movies that try to retard aging, and make us look younger in everything no matter how old we are
exactly the point @edystringz. Thanks for the wonderful comment.
I wish most of these science fictions are real, it would have been so wonderful.
I'll have to get out of character and not drink again. Leprechauns don't exist anyway. I've never seen anyone shorter than I, (I'm 20 cm tall) in my 400 years.
😀wow, that shows your uniqueness @leprechaun. No man can be you exactly because you're more of priority when it comes to "you". I'll be glad to see you cut down on alcohol as well. Thanks for the engagement and do have a wonderful moment😊
