Cancer is one of the major diseases affecting people all over the world. It is the second most diseases causing death and kills arround 10 million people worldwide (1).In this Post, i am going to explain the causes and the preventive measure.

The cell is the basic structural building block of all living things. Normally, cell grows and divide in order to replace old cells to maintain the body health. A cell become cancerous when it grows fastly and uncontrollably.When this occur, it leads to tumor cell which is very dangerous to human health.

Lung cancer
Skin cancer
Stomach cancer
Liver cancer
Prostrate cancer

Causes of cancer

There are various causes of cancer

Smoking

Ciggarete smoking is the major causes of lung cancer. According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (NCDC), People who smoke cigarettes are 15-20 times more likely to get lung cancer or die from lung cancer than people who do not smoke and cigarettes smoking has been connected to about 80% - 90% of lung cancer death (3).

Alcohol intake

All types of alcohol drinking can lead to cancer.. Alcohol get broken down into an hazardous chemical which can affect the body chemical signal.

Sunlight and UV radiation

Exposure to too much UV radiation from the sun can change the DNA structure which can cause uncontrollably growing of cell.

Exposure of body to Cancer causing Chemicals iIndustry.

Exposure to Cancer causing chemicals such as Asbestos, Benzene, Arsenic, Beryllium and bemzo(a)pyrene in Industry can cause cancer.

Preventive Measure

Avoid taking alcohol or low intake

Exercise body regularly

Avoid excessive exposure to too much radiation

Eat health diet and maintain body weight
