There have been several debates about masturbation and several pastors have condemned the act and tagged it as a sin, while others have followed the scientific point of view concerning the topic, to say it's not a sin. Let's look at the scientific aspect of masturbation.

What's Masturbation?

Masturbation is the sexual stimulation of one's own genitals for sexual arousal or other sexual pleasure, usually to the point of orgasm. The stimulation may involve hands, fingers, everyday objects, sex toys such as vibrators, or combinations of these.Source

What does science say about masturbating

Experts and researchers in sexuality agree that masturbation is a completely normal process for human beings and is a healthy sexual behaviour. It probably has a bad reputation because it is an intensely private sexual behavior, which no one discusses even with the closest of friends.Source

This fact is derived from the childhood interplay of an individual's sex organ. It's very normal to see a child touch he's or her sex organ and sometimes this becomes irritating to an adult, but to the child it's a normal occurrence that happens when a child is growing between the ages of 2 to 6.

From a health science perspective, masturbation is not at all harmful for you. Some people think masturbation is bad for moral reasons, however, that is a personal choice.
On the other hand, missing out on regular orgasms increases stress levels and can add to mental health issues, frustration, and unhappiness in general. Masturbating aids stress release and helps to stabilize your mood, making you happier and healthier.Source

Looking at masturbation from a health science perspective, it's a normal occurrence that helps an individual ease stress and increase one's relaxation and makes an individual happier.

What's the Biblical Truth about Masturbation
The bible didn't emphatically mentioned the term masturbation, but said thing that relate to the act of masturbation. For instance, masturbation is caused by lust over the opposite sex.

A person who practices masturbation without imagining sex with someone is rare indeed, if he or she exists at all. On that basis, the practice is tantamount to engaging in adultery, fornication, homosexual behavior or any number of other sexual practices that the mind can imagine – even idolatry, as revealed in Ephesians 5:5, Colossians 3:5 and Ezekiel 23:49.Source

Like the above will say, that there's no individual that masturbate without imagining sex in their minds. Jesus outrightly say that anyone who looks lustfully on the opposite sex, has committed adultery and fornication as the case many be.

One of the ways to identify that masturbation is a sin, is through the conviction of the Holy Spirit. For those that has the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in them, once they masturbate, they're convicted by the Holy Spirit.

I'll conclude by saying that whether the bible said anything about masturbation as a sin or not, the health scientists said masturbation causes quick ejaculation and weakness of the nerves that helps in ejaculation. To me masturbation is a sin, since it's an attribute of oral sex, sex is sex whether oral or actual. Once an individual reaches the level of orgasm, then sexual intercourse has taken place.

What's your take on masturbation, right or wrong?

The classical view has a lot more to do with questions about the nature of life.

The traditional view sees procreation, not pleasure, as the primary purpose of sex.

So, anything that deals with sex is related to one's respect for life. With this view, one sees masturbation as disrespect for life.

It is not an "anti-scientific" view point. It was common for scientists to hold the same view a century ago.

What happened in modern culture is that a group of twentieth century socialist culture warriors realized that they could engineer conflict by promoting masturbation and promiscuity and a large number of people were seduced into promoting a new world view.

The idea that masturbation is scientific while chastity is religious is absurd as there have been religions that promoted promiscuity and scientists who promoted chastity in the past.
