I read this once, while I was playing that video game. I founded a little bit strange, "why a person who developed a video game thought it was a good idea to put something that it can (in certain way) perjudicate his/her own work?" I thought. It may be an interesting way to see how technology has affected us through all this time. I know we can find points of view like "Technology is destroying the quality of human interaction" but I think technology is not entirely negative.

Leí esto una vez, mientras jugaba a ese videojuego. Me pareció un poco extraño, "¿por qué una persona que desarrolló un videojuego pensó que era una buena idea poner algo que puede (en cierto modo) perjudicar su propio trabajo?" pensé. Puede ser una forma interesante de ver cómo nos ha afectado la tecnología a lo largo de todo este tiempo. Sé que podemos encontrar puntos de vista como "La tecnología está destruyendo la calidad de la interacción humana", pero creo que la tecnología no es totalmente negativa.

Technology gave to humans a lot of advantages. It's true that technology makes the life easier and also thanks to technology, humans are able to do a variety of things in a faster way and with less effort. Perhaps without the existence of technology it wouldn't be possible to know people for other countries so easily, make new friends, work from home, make money through online pages, to learn a new language, to know and see a lot of places without traveling or too see a place and to know more about it before to travel there, find jobs, show their abilities to the world uploading videos and a bunch of other good things.

La tecnología ha dado a los humanos muchas ventajas. Es cierto que la tecnología facilita la vida y también que gracias a ella los seres humanos pueden hacer una serie de cosas de forma más rápida y con menos esfuerzo. Quizás sin la existencia de la tecnología no sería posible conocer gente de otros países tan fácilmente, hacer nuevos amigos, trabajar desde casa, ganar dinero a través de páginas online, aprender un nuevo idioma, conocer y ver muchos lugares sin viajar o ver un lugar y saber más sobre el antes de viajar allí, encontrar trabajo, mostrar sus habilidades al mundo subiendo vídeos y un montón de cosas más.

All the advantages technology brings to humans are upstaged by the disadvantages. For humans is more easy to see the bad side of everything, even though they know that are a lot of things that help them. Humans see technology as part of their life, like a part of them, and that's why they don't pay too much attention in the advantages because those are normal options to them, but they start to see things differently whe they lose one of those advantages.

Todas las ventajas que la tecnología aporta a los humanos se ven superadas por las desventajas. Para los humanos es más fácil ver el lado malo de todo, aunque sepan que hay muchas cosas que les ayudan. Los humanos ven la tecnología como parte de su vida, como una parte de ellos, y por eso no prestan demasiada atención a las ventajas porque son opciones normales para ellos, pero empiezan a ver las cosas de otra manera cuando pierden una de esas ventajas.

Humans are curious by default, and they get bored of anything so easily, the usually get lost in the famous "modern world" and they feel the necessity to try the latest inventions: the car of the year, the new cellphone, the best laptop by the time, they just feel this strong attraction for the new features for anything that is new to them, and everyone knows that technology creates new things ALL the time, so it's logical to think that technology has a big influence over them.

Los humanos son curiosos por defecto, y se aburren de todo con mucha facilidad, suelen perderse en el famoso "mundo moderno" y sienten la necesidad de probar los últimos inventos: el coche del año, el nuevo móvil, el mejor portátil del momento, simplemente sienten esa fuerte atracción por las novedades por cualquier cosa que sea nueva para ellos, y todo el mundo sabe que la tecnología crea cosas nuevas TODO el tiempo, así que es lógico pensar que la tecnología tiene una gran influencia sobre ellos.

Almost everything has a bad side (depending of how you see it and your circumstances at that moment) and it isn't rare to disagree with others, that's just human nature. Technology has provided us an easy way to live our life, an alternative for make our daily things faster, but, at what cost? It's impossible to see technology as something completely positive or like a total disaster either. The important thing here is to use it correctly. This can be difficult, because as I mentioned before humans are individuals who has different points of view for almost everything, and plus to that our society see the rules, and good behaviors as something that is boring, that's how most of new generations thinks.

Casi todo tiene un lado malo (dependiendo de cómo lo veas y de tus circunstancias en ese momento) y no es raro estar en desacuerdo con los demás, eso es simplemente la naturaleza humana. La tecnología nos ha proporcionado una forma fácil de vivir nuestra vida, una alternativa para agilizar nuestras cosas cotidianas, pero, ¿a qué precio? Es imposible ver la tecnología como algo completamente positivo o como un desastre total tampoco. Lo importante aquí es utilizarla correctamente. Esto puede ser difícil, porque como mencioné antes, los humanos somos individuos que tenemos diferentes puntos de vista para casi todo, y además nuestra sociedad ve las reglas, y los buenos comportamientos como algo aburrido, así es como piensa la mayoría de las nuevas generaciones.

Nowadays, technology has become indispensable for humans, they are too dependent of it. Most people see technology as an essential part of their life, and if you think about it, it's so hard to imagine the world without it. No one can deny how tight we are to technology, and how important it's to humans, if any of their gadgets turned of, they automatically start to complain and some see their life miserable, and they can't rest until they can use it again. Imagine when the power goes out, (something very common in my country) sometimes is funny to see how their long faces shows up and how they complaints for hours, but also it's so sad to discover that most families are unable to talk to each other when there is a blackout.

Hoy en día, la tecnología se ha convertido en algo indispensable para los humanos, son demasiado dependientes de ella. La mayoría de la gente ve la tecnología como una parte esencial de su vida, y si lo piensas, es muy difícil imaginar el mundo sin ella. Nadie puede negar lo apegados que estamos a la tecnología, y lo importante que es para los humanos, si alguno de sus dispositivos se apaga, automáticamente empiezan a quejarse y algunos ven su vida miserable, y no pueden descansar hasta que puedan volver a utilizarlo. Imagínate cuando cortan la electricidad, (algo muy común en mi país) a veces es gracioso ver como se les ve la cara larga y como se quejan durante horas, pero también es muy triste descubrir que la mayoría de las familias no pueden hablar entre ellos cuando hay un apagón.

It's undeniable that technology make our life easier but it also make people lazy. Humans can be considered slaves of technology, an in certain it also chages the way how a person see life in general. People are always looking for ways to do things faster, 'cause time is the only thing that most people really wants. All the new gadgets and machines created by humans, they constantly use similar words and all of them all related with time, they try to sell them with the same idea "with this you can make anything 1.000 times faster than before and you'll have more time to do the things you love or you can spend more time with your family and friends." It's always the same slogan and still works.

Es innegable que la tecnología nos facilita la vida, pero también hace que la gente sea perezosa. Los seres humanos pueden considerarse esclavos de la tecnología, y en cierto modo también cambia la forma en que una persona ve la vida en general. Las personas siempre está buscando maneras de hacer las cosas más rápido, porque el tiempo es lo único que la mayoría de la gente realmente quiere. Todos los nuevos aparatos y máquinas creados por el ser humano, utilizan constantemente palabras similares y todas ellas relacionadas con el tiempo, intentan venderlas con la misma idea "con esto puedes hacer cualquier cosa 1.000 veces más rápido que antes y tendrás más tiempo para hacer las cosas que te gustan o podrás pasar más tiempo con tu familia y amigos". Siempre es el mismo eslogan y sigue funcionando.

Personally I think we can't live without technology, well... of course we can but what I mean is that it would be difficult to live our lives without it at this point, it has become essential for all humans beings. We have to take all the advantage of it and keep us away of the bad things, in addition to that we have to accept the disadvantage as well and do our best to live with them. The impact of the Social Media and Technology it seems to be more bad that good all the time, but that's the way life works, we just have to be grateful for those benefits that make our lives easier.

Personalmente creo que no podemos vivir sin la tecnología, bueno... claro que podemos, pero lo que quiero decir es que a estas alturas sería difícil vivir nuestra vida sin ella, se ha convertido en algo esencial para todos los seres humanos. Tenemos que sacarle todo el provecho y alejarnos de las cosas malas, además de eso tenemos que aceptar las desventajas también y hacer lo mejor para vivir con ellas. El impacto de las redes sociales y la tecnología parece ser más malo que bueno todo el tiempo, pero así es la vida, sólo tenemos que agradecer por esos beneficios que hacen nuestra vida más fácil.
