Hello hivers! You are welcome to my daily diary post. In this publication, i share moment of how my day went. This diary is for what happened yesterday during the day.

It was Friday yesterday and I was going out to work. I went to two different destinations yesterday before heading back to office which one is located at Ikeja and the other is at Maryland.

Let's discuss about my first place of visit. The reason why I went to Ikeja was to stay as a standby for a fellow lift engineer who was planning on going somewhere to check something. Since he was going out, he could not leave the elevator in use and not been monitored in case of a shut down that might occur. So I had to replace him for the few moment he left.

I took this picture above in the control room of the elevator. The big machine behind me is a 3 phase synchronous motor. While staying there as a standby, the lift broke down twice which I had to correct immediately. If I wasn't there, there would be nobody to make corrections on the elevator.

The picture below is the control panel of the elevator. The lift is working properly at the moment.

Now let us move to the second destination which was at Maryland. The reason why we visited this site was because of it's frequent stops.

We came over to monitor the operation of the lift and also record the problem that we find out. While monitoring the lift, for good one hour, the lift worked perfectly and showed not sign of breakdown but after a while it began to stop frequently and we noticed a sliding sound from the breaks of the motor.

I used the service tool to check for the fault but I must say, it's not all the codes I actually understand but I took records of every info I got from the service tool so I can show my boss who is a more experienced engineer. Moreover, we have made plans to change the break contactor of the elevator to be sure the issue doesn't come from there.

So that's all for now, will see you tomorrow to tell you how my Saturday went by. Thanks for reading through.
