Hello hivers! How are you doing and I hope you had a great day. I use this opportunity to welcome you to another episode of my daily diary series where I tell you about my life activities.

I work as an elevator engineer since the past 2 years from now so you can still call me a baby in the field though I have gathered a lot of experience since the last two years I have been in the field.

Wednesday morning was a very fine morning. It didn't rain like the how it has been doing on Tuesday and Monday but it later began getting towards noon.

Wednesday which was yesterday, we (my colleague and I) went to an old site which we hadn't visited for almost a year. At first, I thought we were going to work on their elevator but instead were going to check out the elevator.

My boss was invited to have a talk with the person in charge of the elevator of the building to know some certain things going on with the elevator.

I had to take picture of the call button, so I can remember the name of the elevator. From what I can see here the name is Tromp and from how the elevator looks, it would probably be made by one of these European companies if I am not wrong.

According to what I heard from the person in charge of this elevator, it was said that it has a problem with the door module and operation or so, and the drawing for the control board of the elevator is missing.

That is where the real problem comes from. It would be very difficult for an engineer to service an elevator without having a drawing that shows how the elevator is wired.

This is similar to "A blind man trying to drive a passenger to a destination". Thereafter, I was instructed to take pictures of the top of car and everything in it which probably include the door motors, inspection box, and so on.

Below are the pictures taken

The black round metal substance above is called the door motor which rotates the door open or close. While in the image below, the blue box is called the door module with is used to control the door motor.

The image below is a board in the inspection box of the lift just above the car of the elevator.

I went ahead to the control room of the elevator which is located at the roof of the building to see the elevator motor and also it's control panel. So I would share images that I took in the control room.

One of the first things you notice in most controller rooms is the synchronous motors because of how large they are though, not all buildings with an elevator have controller rooms. Some just have a very small elevator kept in the shaft of the elevator while the control panel will be placed at the top floor of the building just beside the elevator.

The company name of the manufacturers of the motor above is DIKAAT. I can probably guess it is a German Company from the writing I can see in the picture above.

Here is the control panel of the elevator in question. As I said earlier that the drawing of this control panel is not available, so it would be unwise of us to work on it without getting one.

The purpose of taking the pictures of the control panel is to share with other elevator engineers in contact if they would know this elevator and have a drawing at hand.

I still have a lot to share with you guys but let me end it here. I would share them tomorrow and what ever I discover today. Still later 🖐️

HOW I PLAN TO SUPPORT THE HIVE COMMUNITY

I am giving support to 5 active newbies with a rep of 50 or lesser who can blog at least once per day and Power-Up 100% their post rewards on Hive Power for a month. In doing so, I would set them as 3% beneficiary each on every post I publish.

Note: Beneficiary cannot be set on 3speak contents, so I would give tips from every 3speak content I make

In doing this, I play my part by supporting other lesser Hive owners and looking forward to their progress as well as mine also.

If you are reading this, and you want to be part of those I support, kindly contact me on discord: starstrings01#8020. If you also want to support me in anyway you can, I would appreciate whatever you can do so I can improve the way I can support others also.

Thanks for reading. I really do appreciate your time spent reading through. 🙂🙂🙂

Is there a plan B, if you didn't see the drawing for the elevator?. Your support towards newbies is a good initiative, I like the idea but meeting up with a post each day is challenging, that's for me

Yeah, challenging our limit brings about growth to ourselves. You can do it if you set your mind to it. Blogging about your day would bring you to daily blogging plus there are other things or challenges you could partake in to make you consistent. If you are interested and ready, you can tell me then I would add you up.

Nice elevator experiences that is elevating you upper man. I love the quote,

"A blind man trying to drive a passenger to a destination".

The linking of the statement to the post makes this one too unique.
