A reality that affects the world of work today, especially in the United States, is the resignation from work of the so-called millennials, all the people who were born between 1980 and the year 2000, who are currently between the ages of 42 and 22.

As we have already explained in previous posts, although we focus on the reality of the United States as the first world power, that reality is replicated in most trade or early countries.

The health crisis made millions of people quit their jobs, many people realized that they were putting their lives in danger by going to work, so they decided to quit, it really wasn't worth it, many people realized that life is very fragile and short enough to spend it in an office and they resigned anyway.

The main reason for the massive resignation of workers is the improvement of salaries, it is that many workers take advantage of their lunch hour to look for a better job, they resign in the afternoon and if the next day the new job does not convince them they are willing to repeat the cycle.

Although many think that people do not want to work because they got used to stimulus checks from the government, this is not the case, the gender gap and inequality are important factors for people to quit.

Marty Walsh, the secretary of labor of the United States government, explains that people are looking to improve themselves, so they look for jobs with better salaries and more economic opportunities, although a survey confirms the opposite and the salary improvement is far below. of other factors such as the toxic work environment, mistreatment by bosses, job insecurity.

The health crisis made many people understand that life is too short to be in a job where their merits are not recognized and they are not passionate about it, so money is not the most important thing, many people started to earn less money , but they give them the opportunity to spend more time with their family among other improvements that some have achieved depending on their situation.

I myself feel part of this group of people who quit their jobs looking for an improvement in their lives, so we will continue this topic in a future post.

Thank you for reading
