Hello friends of Project Hope in this globalized world there is nothing that affects the world more economically than the situation in Ukraine and Russia, we are going to touch on the problem of agriculture and the consequences that this could bring to the entire world, just because 2 countries are in conflict, I really don't want to imagine that this conflict escalates, it would be an economic disaster.

For a long time it has been said that Ukraine is the granary of Europe, the land of Ukraine is one of the best that exists at ground level to plant and develop agriculture, this has been the case for decades, Ukraine was invaded in the past and was invaded to steal their crops, and today Ukraine is an agricultural powerhouse.

It is that between Ukraine and Russia they accumulate 75% of sunflower oil exports, 32% of barley, 17% of corn and 30% of wheat, Ukraine is physically prevented from trading and exporting and Russia is sanctioned.

It is a reality that barley has risen in price by 30% and wheat by 21%, countries like India are receiving triple in wheat orders, since many Asian countries imported their wheat from Ukraine and Russia, add to this situation the Chinese floods that damaged part of his harvest and now he must import food.

Russia is the world's fourth largest producer of fertilizers, it provides 15% of the world's fertilizers, this means less fertilizer in the world's crops and means smaller and lower quality products.

It is that Brazil can not buy the fertilizers from Russia that it needs for its soybean crops , that soybean is bought by the Chinese who use it to feed the animals on their farms , in this globalized world less soybean in Brazil means smaller animals in China and translates into higher prices.

It seems that the world already has enough problems to add the problems of a war, but it is a reality that we are living, we will continue explaining the topic of agriculture in a second part.
