Hello friends of the hive! ... I greet you all with much affection, recapitulating a little on this subject ... I began publishing these post with the idea of learning how to repair my computer and so far it has been better than I expected, I have learned few things, however, seeing my enthusiasm, some people close to me have given me parts, that is Hardware, some damaged, others used and in good condition. I would never have imagined that a damaged base card was of such importance, I explain why?
As you can see in the previous image I have three PC motherboards, of course all three are damaged but my goal is to learn from them therefore they are exactly what I need. Some things that I learned do not seem to be important but they tell me that it is good to know them, for example; To my right I have a very old motherboard from which I will not learn anything, however I already know that they existed and that the capacity they had was very powerful for that time, of course if I compare them with any of the current ones ... Not to mention.
Something very important and that we cannot leave for later, is to learn to identify the card model since in this way we will be familiar with the most common and the components they support, such as: Microprocessor, memories, video, etc. The Motherboard has been like a connection center for the different elements that make up our computer and the best of all this, we can change them to our taste and needs.

Practically the Board is designed to add all or most of the components that make up the overall set. As is the case in the image, I show you the slots where the memories are placed or inserted. It should be like that since there are varieties of brands, quality and data processing capacity. In other words, the more memory the faster our PC will be. A more technical name for these slots is "Memory Banks." Important fact: These sockets have a small notch in the central part that will prevent us from placing the memory incorrectly and that in my opinion is great.
Power connector: Here we connect the main cable that comes from the power source. This connection has many cables, through which the different voltages will reach the board and feed the other devices. The technical name of this connector is "Molex" we can find them with 20 or 24 pins, everything will depend on the capabilities of the board to distribute power.

IDE port: This connector helps me to add an older hard disk or DVD-CD reader units. Something that I liked when I was learning about these connectors is that they use two-socket cables, that is, I can connect two disk or two reader units in this port and even better I can connect a disk and a reader unit and both work without problems. Unfortunately they are practically in disuse. In my PC I have a disk reader and I had almost forgotten that it was there and as for the hard disk I use, it is a SATA connection, that is, it uses another type of port.
So far I have learned a lot despite the little time spent due to my classes at school since we are still studying at a distance due to the pandemic but since I am going on vacation I will spend a little more time learning how my PC works.
