I read the Space Trilogy too ... and, as a Christian, it helped me form up the framework of my own science fiction writings ... but, unlike C.S. Lewis, I reached the same conclusion that you did, helped of course by Gene Roddenberry: if there are other civilizations out there, they are on their own journey that does not center US as humanity. They would have things to do beside even knowing we exist, and perhaps beside even looking for new life -- because, as it is on Earth, there is enough to do living planetside!

Very good points! To be fair though it was the scientists in the article I read that had that theory. I'm not smart enough to come up with that stuff on my own!
