Cómo prevenir la Hepatitis A
Saludos queridos amigos, ante el incremento de casos de Hepatitis tipo A, quiero compartir en el siguiente video unas recomendaciones que quizás pueden ayudarles a comprender mejor esta enfermedad y tomar las medidas preventivas para evitarla.
Greetings dear friends, with the increase of cases of Hepatitis A, I want to share in the following video some recommendations that may help you to better understand this disease and take preventive measures to avoid it.
La Hepatitis tipo A una enfermedad viral transmitida por alimentos. Su agente causal es el virus Paramyxovirus 72, perteneciente a la misma familia viral causantes de la parotiditis y sarampión.
Es una enfermedad que se puede contraer ingiriendo alimentos contaminados, utilizar utensilios y ropa de cama de personas portadoras del virus d la hepatitis e ingerir agua no potable.
Su periodo de incubación es de 14-28 días. Este enterovirus es habita eb tubo digestivo humano y pueden aislarse de la faringe o del colon. Causa daño a la salud cuando es consumido a través de los alimentos contaminados con heces.
Sus síntomas son dolor de cabeza, dolor abdominal a predominio del lado derecho, vómitos, naúseas, diarrea, falta de apetito, puede manifestar fiebre, ictericia y prurito. Este virus causa la inflamación del hígado y alteración aguda de muchas de sus funciones.
Prevenirla depende en un alto porcentaje de buenas prácticas de manipulación de alimentos e higiene personal.
Hepatitis A is a foodborne viral disease.
Its causal agent is the Paramyxovirus 72 virus, belonging to the same viral family that causes mumps and measles.
It is a disease that can be contracted by ingesting contaminated food, using utensils and bedding of people carrying the hepatitis virus, and ingesting non-drinking water.
Its incubation period is 14-28 days. This enterovirus inhabits the human digestive tract and can be isolated from the pharynx or colon. It causes damage to health when consumed through food contaminated with feces.
Its symptoms are headache, abdominal pain predominantly on the right side, vomiting, nausea, diarrhea, lack of appetite, fever, jaundice, and itching. This virus causes liver inflammation and acute alteration of many of its functions.
Preventing it depends on a high percentage of good food handling practices and personal hygiene.
Lavarse las manos frecuentemnete en especial después de ir al baño y manipular basura.
Lavar bien los vegetales. Evitar consumir vegetales crudos fuera de casa.
Cocinar bien las carnes, pollo, pescados y mariscos. Deben cocinarse por encima de 70 ºC)
Comprar pescados y frutos del mar en comercios seguros e higiénicos.
Consumir productos lácteos pasteurizados.
Consumir agua solo potable.
Separar y lavar con agua caliente los utensilios de la persona infectada con Hepatitis A.
Lavar por separado y desinfectar la ropa interior y de cama de la persona infectada.
Wash hands frequently, especially after going to the bathroom and handling garbage.
Wash vegetables thoroughly. Avoid eating raw vegetables outside the home.
Cook meats, poultry, fish, and seafood well (should be cooked above 70 ºC).
Buy fish and seafood in safe and hygienic stores.
Consume pasteurized dairy products.
Consume only potable water.
Separate and wash utensils of the person infected with Hepatitis A with hot water.
Wash separately and disinfect the underwear and bed linen of the infected person.
