MONOMAD: Pray and Work Diligently

Prayers, followed by working earnestly, are part of the capital required to be more blessed and successful.

These pics were submitted to the Black and White community as part of the artwork for Happy New Year 2022.

A lovely expression from a boy, his eyes bright with promise.

These are pictures of farmers in Indrapuri, Aceh Besar's rice fields. A middle-aged guy sat cross-legged and stretches his palms towards the sky to pray while an elderly woman wearing a mukena prays alone on a prayer mat. In front of them are farming equipment, a hat to keep the sun off of them, and a rice container.

Look at the blur on the right side of the image; a middle-aged woman is working on krui pade, a manual technique that uses areca nut leaves as a sprinkling and natural breeze to separate the rice seeds that retain the rice.
