MONOMAD : RHINOCYPHA - DAMSELFLY

avatar

This is my entry for the daily #monomad challenge hosted and curated by @monochromes

To take part in today's #monomad contest, I'd like to show you some Macro Photo of an Animal. The animal that I will share on this occasion is an animal that belongs to the class Insect, The insect that I will share on this occasion is called Rhinocypha, this is the name i found when i tried to match the photo that was in my smartphone gallery on Google lens, and here I will also share some explanations that explain the insects that I share, on wikipedia it is written that ;

"Rhinocypha is a genus of damselflies in the family Chlorocyphidae. . . . . . ." - Read More On Wikipedia

From what is explained on wikipedia that this is an insect that belongs to the type of damselflies, and now I am trying to find more information that explains the name of the damselflies, on wikipedia it is written that ;

"Damselflies are flying insects of the suborder Zygoptera in the order Odonata. They are similar to dragonflies, which constitute the other odonatan suborder, Anisoptera, but are smaller and have slimmer bodies. Most species fold the wings along the body when at rest, unlike dragonflies which hold the wings flat and away from the body. . . . . . ." - Read More On Wikipedia

From what is explained on wikipedia that this is a different type of animal from Dragonflies, you can see the difference that generally when these insects are resting, damselflies will fold their wings when they rest, it looks different from dragonflies when they are resting, the dragonfly will open its wings.

Okay friends, below are some photos that I will share for the monomad challenge this time, and by the way all the photos I share this time were also taken using a smartphone camera and the help of a macro lens, hope you guys like it ;

See you in my next post, don't forget to smile every day, because that smile is charity :)

I would not notice the difference between the damselfly and dragonfly at first sight.
But it is a pretty one also.

You smartphone macro lens is excellent not just for mushrooms but for insects too :)
Greetings @mirz 👋
