MONOMAD : Baby Robber Fly (Assassin Flies)
To take part in today's #monomad contest, I'd like to show you some macro photo of an insect. The insects in this post are insects that belong to the fly family, but the flies that I share are different from the flies that we usually see or find at home (Housefly), In terms of shape, these flies have long backs, and when they grow up, a bunch of hair will grow in their eyes, you can see this in one of the posts I shared in the photo lover community with the title "Robber Fly- Assassin Flies" 👈this is an adult robber fly.
Yes, that's right, the name of the insect that I share is "Robber fly or Assassin flies", it is known as the most aggressive type of fly in its family, they usually prey on other insects, sometimes they even slash other types of flies, because of this nature they are called robber flies.
Below are some photos of Baby Roberfly sitting on a wooden branch.
Looks like he's checking something, look at the tip of the wood, it looks like a dead insect.
I only managed to photograph it once before it flew away leaving me alone in this loneliness 😜
And look at the photo that I display below this article, this photo was taken a few days before I took the photo above, when I took this photo I saw a baby Robberfly eating his prey, and judging by what was brought it seemed that what was in his mouth was a baby grasshopper, or maybe some other insect that I can't say for sure.
On the other hand, in the same place I also found a baby Robber Fly, but he wasn't eating anything, he just stopped for a while, then left without permission. 😅
Here I also share a photo of the baby Robberfly which was not edited into Black and White, and this is the original color of the baby |
