MONOMAD : TAREK PUKAT (Old Tradition that are Still Practiced)
In some of the photos I'll be sharing today, you can see a view I captured while strolling down the beach in the afternoon, where you can see that several people are engaged in what locals here refer to as "Tarek Pukat" activities. This activity involves multiple persons casting nets into the water and hauling them back in the hopes of catching fish. Tarek Pukat is performed by pulling slowly and simultaneously. Because the nets being pulled are so heavy, rhythm is essential. This time, I used a Nikon D7200 KIT lens to take the picture I shared. I'll start by showing some pictures taken just before a boat anchored the trawl net into the water ;
As I mentioned in the previous paragraph, this activity requires a large number of people, as can be seen in the image below when several people are concurrently pulling the trawl and the appropriate rhythm is needed.
And have a look at some of the images below to see the fruits of their labor—they were successful in catching a lot of fish.
Additionally, some individuals may be seen waiting for their catch. These people will buy the fresh fish they just caught, and often when we buy fish straight from this source, in addition to the fact that we receive it fresh, the cost will be less than if we were to get it from a market.
You have some nice shots here, you've managed to capture some interesting moments.
I'm pleased to hear that, thank you very much.
