This is the tobacco hornworm, or the larvae of Manduca sexta, a species of moth in the family Sphingidae.

If you're wondering why the subjects in the images aren't intact, it's not on purpose. In fact, the 25mm semi-extreme macro lens I used to shoot the caterpillar was unable to capture the full subject. As a result, you can only see them as puzzle pieces.

Do you know the legal name of @themarkymark ???? It is needed to contact his local police station. Any information to his whereabouts would be much appreciated.

Ooooooo I really like these. They remind me of tardigrades, especially the closeups on the feet.

Thanks @corvidae. It would have been even more lovely if the frame's focus had been wider, but the range of my 25mm macro lens is somewhat limited.
