Monomad: They did their utmost to protect the home

When I noticed some thread-waisted wasps (subfamily Sphecinae) in their tiny home this afternoon, it was rather hot outside and there were no clouds in the sky. On a little twig not far from the paddy fields, they built the little houses. Despite the fact that I came too close to them, none of the wasps fled, and instead, they did their utmost to protect their home. I picked some of these pics to publish in today's #monomad challenge. Thanks to the host, @monochromes.
