Monomad: Macropics of Fairy Inkcap
Here are some macro shots I submitted to the daily #monomad challenge hosted by @monochromes.
These are some fairy inkcaps I photographed with my phone about a week ago.
When the mushrooms were found on the rotten branches of the areca palm, they were still quite fresh and had not changed color.
It was incredibly hard for me to take pictures of mushrooms effectively because of the dim environment in which they did grow.
So it took some effort for me to pry the skin off the areca nut branches with the bayonet that I frequently carry and bring the mushrooms to a slightly lit environment.
Fairy inkcap, scientifically known as Coprinellus disseminatus, is a mushroom species in the family Psathyrellaceae . Despite the fact that the species is nonpoisonous, it is rarely consumed.
What a beautiful display of pictures of the mushrooms that you share.
Thanks
