Monomad Challenge: Dino Egg Fungi

Yesterday afternoon, I was walking through the countryside when I came across these, looking like freshly hatched dinosaur eggs. Some of them are growing on the fallen leaf, while others are on the rotting twig that is still slightly damp. I think it's a young mushroom that is still developing because the cap is still covering the stem. I have a hard time identifying the type of mushroom. I'll just refer to them as the "dino egg fungi."

The photos were purposefully changed with a monochrome filter to be submitted to the daily #monomad challenge.
