Opening Holozing Alpha Vials
Today marked the first opportunity to open Holozing vials and see what is inside.

The opening animation is pretty cool :)
I had 31 vials to open, which can be purchased in the Shop at https://holozing.com/, and I have so far opened 22 of them. I am still unsure about what is good, bad and ugly and what kinds of creatures there are, but so far, I haven't gone any fancy creatures out of the vials, at least going on what I saw in the discord.
After opening, a vial though, there is one starter creature, some blank capture cards, ammo for backpacks, food, items and potions to use in-game. These come in various rarities.
I am not sure if the creatures come in various rarities though, because I think mine are all pretty basic!
When it comes to the best average stats, it is this Wrackoo. But I don't believe it is very good, so hopefully I get something decent in the last few vials. However, these creatures can evolve through playing the game, so it is going to be interesting what kinds of items, consumables and actions are in game to boost them up.
Next are the blank cards which will be filled with captured creatures. In the last pack I opened (the one visible above) I got a diamond rarity empty.
Then the Consumables, with food for creature and healer, water, mana elixir and potions, that are used to keep the energy up for creatures and healers, and help them regenerate strength.
When it comes to items, I got some Holo Rarity (best?) gloves, a backpack and some ammo, but they are class restricted items, so I am not sure I can use them to begin with anyway.
But I do have a set of a Legendary backpack, Capture Device, and Capture ammo, so perhaps I might be able to use those together for something. And while I have seen some other items like hoverboards, the only transport item I have received so far, is an Epic Bicycle.
At least it is good for the environment, and I could do with the exercise.
From here, I am not sure what is next to come, but I am looking forward to being able to put some of these things to use and play the game at some point. I have seen a few bits and pieces, and it looks like it might be a bit of fun, and quite different to what has been on Hive before.

It would have been fantastic if all of this coincided with an ATH on Hive (or at least somewhere much higher than it is), because then I would have bought many more vials! But hey, it is normally the case with these games that the alpha packs have a lot of value in them and many people end up wishing they had bought a few, just in case.

Holozing is a really interesting game, although I haven't tried it yet. I registered with my Hive account in the game, but now I spend almost all my free time in Splinterlands. But it's good to dedicate some time and try something new like Holozing.
I play splinterlands too, but I I like the idea of this one also, as it has a world to explore. Hopefully in time, there will be a decent community built around it also.
That Wrackoo has decent stats on average, but I'm not sure how useful that is. Maybe there are one or two important stats, and as long as those are high, the others don't matter. Since you played Crownrend, you probably remember how important attack and defense are in that game at beginning. Btw Congratulations on being the first person to post about the Alpha Vial opening in Hive. I wish you good luck in future pack openings.

though I may have picked the electric starter as something different as Pokemon only has the other three, and I only extremely rarely pick fire starters unlike sibling dearest who always picks the fire starters

More like favourite colour is red and she took the fire starter in the original Pokemon so it might have become a trend XD I usually picked the grass or water starters after Pokemon Yellow (which was the first one I played which is the only one where you start with an electric starter and I was kind of mad as I wanted the rival's starter which is my favourite XD
It seems like this game of opening holographic vials is more interesting, although I have never played it. You seem to be enjoying it quite a bit. Hopefully, as the price of Hive increases, you will be able to buy more vials and get better things from them. Although, due to lack of time, I do not have the opportunity to play such games.
It is still worth signing up for these things, because the future can change a lot :)

Some quick pointers I can give:
Basically, creatures can "level up" their stat rarity if played correctly, (there'll be guides and more info in time), thus getting super rare creatures from the opening at level 1 is astronomically difficult on purpose. Basically, the closer you are to average epic rarity the better, if not however, it's not the end of the world, you can still play with them and they'll do well against wild creatures. When it comes to PvP the focus will be that players with a certain rarity face those with a similar rarity to make things even.
Radiant creatures are just aesthetics, it doesn't depend on stats at all, it's a collector thing. However if you can get a creatures average stats to holo rarity, it'll also change its skin. So in a way, the craziest/rarest thing you can get would be a radiant skin and holo stats creature captured in a diamond card. I don't think I need to mention the odds of that. :D
Now when it comes to the empty cards, gold and diamond can capture any type, so u can use those to capture wild creatures in the game if you for instance want a set of all unique creatures in diamond/gold or if you just wanna capture some you think look best in those cards. The other 4 colors stand for creature type so the wild creature will have to be that type to be able to go into those cards. Keep in mind however that alpha cards will be scarce, the ones that get minted from alpha vials will be all that will ever exist. Thus don't waste them on "any" wild creatures if you suspect they have low stats, or save them to attempt to capture radiant wild creatures.

That was a nice pull. I opened 5 vials, and the best I've got was a diamond capture card and a holo backpack. Not even a capture device or a mount.
Out of 5, that is pretty good!
That's my luck all used up. Will likely buy the mount and capturing device when they build a market for it.
Acidyo and the team did an amazing job with the Holozing game. Despite all the obstacles they faced, they worked hard enough and made the game a reality. In my opinion, Holozing should become one of the most played game on the platform in the near future. It enjoyed a ton of popularity even before it's launch. I ain't much of a gamer but I can say it's a really interesting game.
Yeah, hopefully people will get behind it and start to expand the Hive gaming world further.
That sounds exciting! It’s always fun when a game introduces new mechanics and gear like that — especially when it feels fresh compared to what’s usually on Hive. The Legendary backpack and Capture Device combo sounds promising, and the Epic Bicycle adds a nice touch of eco-friendly adventure. I don't think I got any legendary items, but I did get a couple Diamond capture devices. I opened 18 of my 21 packs. I'm excited to actually see the game and figure it out. I haven't been able to really understand the mechanics just reading the posts. Plus I never played Pokemon, so I think that puts me at a disadvantage too.
