Retro Frustrations - PSP

A couple of months back I was given this PSP to me by a friend because he didn't have any use for it. It also didn't come with a battery, charger or a battery lid.
So after a couple of months of having this sitting around, I found someone selling all the parts I needed for just $15 USD. I obviously went ahead and bought them, but then... It started dying on me.

Both batteries seemed to be dying, I tested a new official battery and the same thing happened. So this is more than likely a serious hardware issue.
Those $15 weren't the only money I spent either.

I also bought this memory stick to SD adapter, a 32gb stick and a mini USB cable (which are getting quite expensive lately for some reason).
This was another $20 on top of the $15. So things got a bit expensive, and I purchased all this whilst the PSP was working fine.

So now I'm stuck here with a PSP that's essentially a glorified desk console that I can't just pick up and play anywhere. This really sucks. Specially since I replaced the front panel (it came with the $15 parts) and it's looking quite beautiful now.

Another issue is that the battery lid won't stay in place, but I just used some tape for that to keep it in place... not that it matters much seeing as how the batteries don't even work.

Well, what can you do? Sometimes you just get unlucky. I'm trying to sell this PSP on Facebook marketplace now to get back some of the money I lost, but we'll see how that goes...

Hopefully I can make something back seeing as ridiculously expensive PSPs are going for nowadays. I just hope I don't get left empty handed, either way, thanks for reading my rant.

I'm sad.

Sometimes things just doesn't go the way we hope. Hope you manage to sell it to recoup some losses at least.
