Rumor: GTA V Might Be Free Starting Tomorrow On Epic Games Store

For the past week or so now, Epic Games has been teasing us with this image for their next free game. If a recent leak is to be believed, it'll be GTA V. It won't even be a cut-down version either, but the full version with both the story and online.

Epic Games Store is known for giving out free games. Many people, like myself, only go on there for the free games. They've given out some good older AAA titles before and if the leak turns out to be true, GTA V being free on there really wouldn't surprise me. The game came out all the way back in 2013 and isn't selling nearly as well as it did even just a few years ago. Sure they still sell new copies, but most of their revenue from the game comes from in-game transactions with GTA Online so by giving away their hit game for free, they could still see a good profit from this due to even more people playing it and spending money on in-game items.

I've owned GTA V via Rockstar's Social Club for years now so it wouldn't benefit me personally, but it'd be a great free game for those that don't already have it.

We have less than 14 hours until it's officially revealed, but one thing seems almost certain... it'll probably be a great AAA title regardless of what it actually is whether it's GTA V or some other great AAA game.
