EVGA's mid week madness sales are something that I'm surprised I've never really talked about before. Usually when I remember them, it's usually a couple days after it's already passed. Basically every Wednesday, EVGA has sales on it's website for it's B-stock merchandise. Basically, B-stock products are products that may have small dents or scratches in them, but work flawlessly. They get refurbished by EVGA themselves which is a well-known company in the PC gaming space. Better yet, these products come with a one year warranty from EVGA themselves so if for what ever reason your product from them has any issues with it, you can reach out to them and either get it repaired or replaced under it's warranty.

While many people prefer to get great deals on their newer GPUs which you can often find in these sales, what excites me is their deals on their PSUs. I write a ton about building gaming PCs out of old Optiplexs and after finding a good deal on an Optiplex, the next thing you'll usually need to find is a good deal on an ATX PSU to power your system and your GPU. Even just yesterday, I wrote an article on places to look for to get great deals on the Optiplexs themselves. It can be tough to find great deals on PSUs though without breaking the bank or going so cheap that you risk burning up your whole system or it simply dying on you with a cheap off-brand PSU. I always encourage sticking to well-known brands when it comes to PSUs. You can certainly find some for cheaper on Amazon, but I always suggest reading the reviews if you're wanting to save some money on a PSU. You'll often find terrible reviews though on cheaper PSUs.

Today though, you can pick up a 600W ATX PSU from EVGA's mid week madness sale for just $30 with free shipping! 600W should be plenty of power for most systems including many mid-range gaming PCs. Just yesterday I informed you that even a GTX 1080 system usually won't use more than 500W at full load.

These PSUs usually sell for $55 plus shipping, but by buying a B-stock unit on sale, after shipping, you'll save around 50%! That $30 that you save could go into buying an extra 8GB of RAM, a small SSD for a boot drive, or maybe even a game or two for your budget gaming PC.

If for some reason you're wanting to try to find an even better deal, you can always check back every Wednesday to see what great deals they have to offer then!
