The Sims 4 - My first time trying out Challenge Scenarios: Extraterrestrical researcher

The Sims 4 have started a whole new thing: Challenge scenarios. I haven't really tried this out before now, and it's actually a great idea just to engage the players more. We all have felt that we have played everything in The Sims 4 (or in games in general), so we get tired of it. But this helps this boredom.

There is many scenarios right now, and there is many different kind of levels on them too. Here are some of the scenarios:

I wanted to try out the scenario "Extraterrestrial Researcher.

I haven't really tried out the scientist career, and this was a great opportunity to do it. I just started the career with one of my sims, and I thought this would be perfect for her.

Since I had played a little bit on this sim in forehand, she already had got a few promotions in her scientist career. There is a lot of fun activities to do in this job, and you also got the chance to follow they at their job too.

But she also had the oportunity to get a few things in her promotion. I was really excited about that she could call for aliens and make different kinds of epidemics.

She placed the alien-caller in her garden. But sadly didn't I get the opportunity to experience it more than this. I want to try it out again later, maybe write a post about aliens if possible. Because there are aliens and you can be abducted by them too. Two sims have actually been abducted before, and I think I know what I should do to make it happen again.

It actually doesn't really matter on what kind of lot you are on, or what kind of worlds. But we'll see what plans I have for it later on.

When your sim first arrive to the scientist lot, you will get this note. And it seems from the note that you get different kinds of outcome if you want to be good or be bad (calling for aliens).

I found it really fun to make a "pistol". You can upgrade it on your sims job in the scientist carer. Your sim can make other sims freeze, and your sim can make people around you to do different kinds of corses, for example clean.

I think there is a small bug. When my sim is trying to build on the space ship, it doesn't work at all. And that makes the progress in her job slow or bad. I tried with an another sim, but that didn't work either. And my sim couldn't do anything at work one time, because nothing worked. Pretty annoying, and that didn't make me want to play any sim that worked in the science career.

But when my sim finally could do something, it really didn't go that well.

She was working on making a rose serum at the science lab. And she caught on fire. Here is some proofs:

And the worst thing about this is:

Her colleagues just stood there. When it first started a fire, they ran out. There was no fire alarm, and no fireman did arrive either. Worst colleagues ever!

I actually did settle on saving the game after my sim died.

Because I had a lot of sims already in this world. And who is Muffin do you may ask? It's her cat. It's sad that I haven't seen Muffin yet. Usually when the sims want to adopt cats, you can find cat's like Muffin in the adoption service. But there is no sign to Muffin. Hope she haven't become a stray cat :(

Well, and after all this, all of a sudden did people die and almost die on me. There have been a lot of fire in my game lately. I don't know why, but I haven't been that bothered because of it.

But there are times I just think that there will be a fire, but no fire in sight. Because when your sim are making food, and the cat just want to be food too but nothing happens. Luckily didn't it happen tho.

After my main sim got killed at work, I started to play on another Sim (Lisa).

And almost the first thing that happened is that it started to burn while she was cooking. She is the sim I had when I played Jungle Adventure Gaming Pack. I have plans to write about it soon, but it will take some time before I will finish with the post because there is so much different kinds of outfalls in that gaming packs.

If you have read my Sim post about Robotics at UNI, I had a Sim that went through UNI and made a Robot in the end. You can read more about it here.

But she got a child, and she went to UNI too. She moved into a house where she got 2 roommates. The funny thing is that one of her roommates got something stuck in her throat. She choked and died. I have never seen this way of get killed before in The Sims ever. It must be a new update?

But after Neighborhood Actions got activated I got more fun death outcomes like this. It's so much fun that The Sims 4 is mixing it up, and actually make me laugh:

The third time a sim cought on fire, was actually my UNI Sim's second roommate. He cought on fire.

"Somebody call 911, shorty fire burning on the... kitchen"

And the fourth time...

THE FIREMAN COUGHT ON FIRE. I was stunned when even the fireman just stood there, looked at the fire and did nothing. And all of a sudden one of the fireman just caught on fire. Luckily did the other fireman react. Worst fireman in history. Hope those don't exists in real life tho.

I got so bothered by all the killing and fires that I tried to flirt and get to really know the Grim Reaper. I didn't go so well, even tho I took him on a date on the Grave Yard.

He actually answered my Sim when she flirted with him, "The forces of evil don't have time to romance.What kind of question is that?" I think that he should take time to that and take some time off work.

How did the date go?.

It didn't go that well, because he kind of went home right away. The reason why I tried to get to know him is because I want to revive the sims. I can do that in a few ways, but they seems so hard. I actually tried one of the ways out when I wrote about Paranormal Stuff.

But I did have the opportunity to try to get to really know The Grim Reaper later on. There will be a post about it soon!

I guess I have to try this scenario again, since it ended way too fast.

I want to try out this scenario again, because I haven't explored so much of the scientist career in general. I haven't been able to call for aliens and seen results of it. There is a lot of topics to write about in The Sims 4, so stay tuned for more.

This Challenge did also say that potential outcomes could be "bring back 5 unique living alien critters from voyages into space", and I have never experienced that before. I know where I can find traces of aliens, so I guess i'm kind of close to get some results if I want to.

It was anyways fun to try this out, and I'm looking forward to try out more scenarios. I love that The Sims 4 have got this great idea!
