Grrr, This was Supposed to be 2 Seasons 🤦‍♀️ - Sakura Bloom Fortnite Athenascope Showcase

Athenascope AI: Lol I only like the old season

I played Chapter 2 Season 8 of Fortnite AND Chapter 3 Season 1 of Fortnite and got my clips in before the cut off to get my Season 1 clips into this Showcase video... and I was excited about getting a Showcase video that included two different seasons, and different chapters even... but the AI didn't give a fuck about the Chapter 3 Season 1 and only included clips from my Chapter 2 Season 8 gameplay.

You can pin clips in Athenascope to encourage the AI to use it in your Showcase (it more than likely will but it won't if it doesn't fit the music) but I generally don't do that unless I really love a particular clip because I like to see what the AI does, so I can't really complain, but it's kind of annoying and funny that it did this.

Admittedly I had more kills in the games for Ch 2 Season 8's part of this week (26 vs 16), so it would be fair to expect MORE of the footage to come from Ch 2 Season 8 than Ch 3 Season 1, but 16 is also not nothing so I would have thought I would get at least some footage from Chapter 3. The AI did its job fine and I can't fault it, and it's actually kind of funny but that doesn't mean I'm not a little bit salty about what it did with the footage.

My Athenascope Showcase video is a Showcase Video / Montage of clips from my Fortnite gameplay for the week ended 7 December 2021. This footage has not been streamed on my Youtube or Twitch, so it has not been seen before.

Like all the other times since I started using Buy Me a Coffee, I slightly edited this video. I did not edit the gameplay footage at all - that was all done by the Athenascope AI - but I included my text on the end to credit my supporters on Buy Me a Coffee.

This video was focused on only the Battle Royale modes and within that it includes trios and squads matches. This video includes my partner and a friend.

My partner also recently got me the Zeropoint comics as an anniversary present so I'm Harley Quinn (one of the skins you unlock through the codes in the comics) for most of this.

Athenascope's Showcases are montages with music added to it that you only get if your footage meets certain requirements during the week. As I do not have an elgato setup, these Showcases at this point only include my PC games of Fortnite, not any games I play on the Nintendo Switch. The song added to this week's Fortnite Showcase was Sakura Bloom.

I ended up deciding to go and make a simple Showcase of my Chapter 3 footage too. I don't have the full footage because it was streamed directly to Athenascope, but for every session Athenascope makes kill compilations which are just simple videos showing each kill and down I get in order with a small amount of footage either side of the kill / down, so I had kill footage but I didn't have the other sorts of footage it uses, like dropping from the bus or uneventful gameplay. I had a few kill compilations because I was starting and stopping the stream to ensure that the clips were available for this week's Showcase because if the stream didn't finish before the cut off time, the whole thing wouldn't apply to that week. I put the kill compilations into Premiere Pro, cut a little bit off the end of one (or two, I think one) and added the song Robots a Cometh from the YouTube Audio Library to it. This was not an overly artistic, well thought out montage, as I didn't rearrange the kills in the video to better suit the music or anything, but just simply put it all together, added some music and adjusted the volume of both the music and the video audio to a mix I felt was suitable just so my first chapter 3 kills were still used.

EDIT: If this video below wasn't working for you, this one here now should. I had to redo it because I missed one kill from one match and I went back and added it. I had to trim the other clips a bit more to make it work because the length was well suited to the other clips without that one.

It will also be on Dtube, like my Athenascope Showcase is, but I'm not putting it on Tiktok as it uses a song from the YouTube Audio Library and I personally feel comfortable with putting that on Dtube as I use third party upload anyway, but I'm not 100% sure if that song should be used on Tiktok. I doubt it's a problem, but I'm not certain.
