Hola, hola que tal les va lectores; acaso alguien sabe ¿que es un aspirador de glera o quirúrgicos? O ¿como funciona un aspirador de esta clase? Si tienes dudas puedes seguir leyendo, pues en este post hablare de un equipo que los ingenieros biomédicos o técnicos en electromedicina, odian a la hora de hacerles mantenimientos, no por que sea difícil, pero eso se los iré contando en este post así que vamos allá.

Algunas patologías provocan retención de secreciones en las vías respiratorias como la faringe, la tráquea y los bronquios, por otro lado durante una cirugía la sangre que se acumula en la zona de intervención disminuyendo la visibilidad del médico, así como en odontología es necesario extraer saliva y agua para poder realizar un buen trabajo.

Para los casos mencionados anteriormente, existe el aspirador Gleras que fue diseñado para el uso general de aspiración para un mayor rendimiento, desde la sala de emergencias hasta la sala de recuperación, los pacientes externos e incluso las clínicas dentales. El dispositivo puede utilizarse a nivel orotraqueal y nasotraqueal, pero también puede utilizarse en pacientes con vía aérea artificial mediante aspiración traqueal.
For the cases mentioned above, there is the Gleras aspirator which was designed for general suction use for higher throughput, from the emergency room to the recovery room, outpatients and even dental clinics. The device can be used at orotracheal and nasotracheal level, but can also be used in patients with artificial airway by tracheal suctioning.

When the tubes are connected and the equipment is switched on, the machine extracts the secretions and pushes them into a collection bottle. The machine has a pressure gauge to indicate the pressure, as well as a regulator to select the pressure, an extension tube or hose and a collection bottle. The pressure regulator valve has a capacity of -635 mm Hg vacuum pressure and a flow rate of 40 lpm at open flow.

This equipment uses an external filter, which goes between the vessel and the equipment, in order to prevent fluids from entering the mechanism, but often for various reasons, paramedics, nurses, doctors and waitresses do not place it, which causes fluids to enter the mechanism, which over time accumulate and reduce the pressure exerted by the equipment.
Aquí es donde comienza la tortura para los ingenieros biomédicos, los clínicos y los técnicos de equipos médicos que deben mantener los equipos. Cabe mencionar que el nivel de riesgo biológico en la limpieza de estos equipos dependerá del área o servicio donde se encuentren, oscilando entre el nivel 1 y el nivel 4 de riesgo.
This is where the torture begins for the biomedical engineers, clinicians and medical equipment technicians who must maintain the equipment. It is worth mentioning that the level of biohazard when cleaning this equipment will depend on the area or service where it is located, ranging from level 1 to level 4 risk.
Para iniciar la limpieza, en el caso de esta aspiradora Medi-Pump, se retira la tapa superior, donde se accede a la cámara de aspiración y con un producto esterilizante no corrosivo se limpia la cámara y cada uno de sus conductos, así como se engrasa el motor para alargar su vida útil.
To start cleaning, in the case of this Medi-Pump hoover, the top cover is removed, where the vacuum chamber is accessed and with a non-corrosive sterilising product, the chamber and each of its ducts are cleaned, as well as the motor is greased in order to extend its useful life.
Por último, se montan el equipo y se realizan las pruebas de presión, tras lo cual se entregan al servicio correspondiente.
