Les cuento que mi día hoy fue súper especial,mis compañeros y yo tuvimos la oportunidad de participar en el Taller Provincial de HTA( hipertensión arterial) desarrollado en la Universidad de Ciencias Médicas de nuestra provincia y organizado por la profesora de nuestro centro, quién en la Jefa del Departamento de las enfermedades crónicas no transmisibles.
En este taller se abordaron diferentes temas sobre dicha enfermedad ( una de las más frecuentes en el mundo) desde sus múltiples causas, factores de riesgo, métodos de diagnóstico y terapéutica.
Para nosotros como médicos es muy importante nuestra participación en eventos de este tipo porque nos permite actualizarnos sobre diferentes enfermedades,como varía su comportamiento a nivel mundial cada año y cada descubrimientos novedoso que haya al respecto. Para mí es una de las enfermedades más lindas para estudiar razón por la cuál la escogí como tema de tesis de mi primera especialidad, siempre me ha fascinado conocer más sobre ella, entre otras cosas porque a pesar de que no esté demostrado que se transmita hereditariamente sabemos que si tenemos familiares hipertensos tenemos más probabilidades de padecerla que los que no los tienen y en mi caso ,es la enfermedad más frecuente que afecta a mí familia,( mi papá).
En el evento participaron invitados de los 10 municipios de nuestra provincia con el objetivo de transmitir los temas en cada área de salud y perfeccionar el quehacer del médico de consultorio para mejorar aún más la calidad de los servicios, traducido en la reducción de la morbimortalidad de la enfermedad.

I tell you that my day today was super special, my colleagues and I had the opportunity to participate in the Provincial Workshop on HTA (arterial hypertension) developed at the University of Medical Sciences of our province and organized by the professor of our center, who in the Head of the Department of chronic non-communicable diseases.
This workshop addressed different topics about this disease (one of the most frequent in the world) from its multiple causes, risk factors, diagnostic and therapeutic methods.
For us as doctors, our participation in events of this type is very important because it allows us to update ourselves on different diseases, how their behavior varies worldwide each year and each new discovery that there is in this regard. For me it is one of the most beautiful diseases to study, which is why I chose it as the subject of my first specialty thesis, it has always fascinated me to learn more about it, among other things because, despite the fact that it is not proven that it is transmitted hereditarily We know that if we have hypertensive relatives we are more likely to suffer from it than those who do not and in my case, it is the most frequent disease that affects my family (my father).
Guests from the 10 municipalities of our province participated in the event with the aim of transmitting the issues in each health area and perfecting the work of the doctor's office to further improve the quality of services, translated into the reduction of morbidity and mortality of the illness.
