Los Hot Sales son, en la actualidad, un instrumento válido para promocionar, a través de un portal unificado, la venta de productos a través de Internet.
Reconocen como su antepasado más lejano los famosos Black Friday, aquellas iniciativas de los días viernes de hace algunos años que promocionaban, con importantes descuentos, la venta de productos de indole variada a través de Internet.
Durante la actual epidemia de coronavirus las ventas online han pasado a ser más que un instrumento de marketing una verdadera y propia necesidad.
Ante la imposibilidad de viajar o de trasladarse, en algunos casos, dentro del perímetro del propio barrio o de la propia ciudad, pasaron a ser elementos de uso cotidiano en este atípico modo de vivir.
Hace pocos días algunas grandes firmas del país en el que vivo actualmente (Argentina) decidieron de promocionar sus ventas a través del conocido sistema Hot Sales, usando como intermediaria, a tales efectos, a la empresa líder de ventas online en toda América Latina.
Podemos llamarla la eBay de LATAM si no queremos incurrir en denuncias por injurias y cosas símiles.
Lo llamativo, por no decir lo inmoral e inescrupoloso de tal accionar, es el hecho que muchos productos promocionados tenían un precio igual o superior al que mostraban en las vitrinas de los respectivos negocios una semana atrás.

A few days ago some large firms in the country where I currently live (Argentina) decided to promote their sales through the well-known Hot Sales system, using the leading online sales company in all of Latin America as an intermediary.
We can call it the LATAM eBay if we do not want to incur complaints for insults and the like.
What is striking, not to say immoral and unscrupulous in such action, is the fact that many promoted products had a price equal to or higher than that shown in the windows of the respective businesses a week ago.

En efecto, parece que algunos empresarios no tienen ningún escrúpulo en hacerlo.
Y aquí se plantea un dilema de tipo legal.
Consultado el CEO del portal deslindó toda responsabilidad diciendo que ellos son simplemente intermediarios. No fijan los precios. Sí, en cambio, las condiciones de venta, de pago y de envío. Y, por supuesto, la comisión que sì se llevan.
Lo que este funcionario no puede deslindar (y es algo en lo cual la Secretaría de Comercio ha radicado la pertinente denuncia) es la responsabilidad del portal en la promoción del evento con todas las características que el mismo tendría. Destacando incluso que comprar por esa sistema significaba para el usuario un considerable ahorro en el precio final.
Pero lo más grave de este comportamiento es la falta de escrúpulos y principios morales para llevar a cabo una operación comercial tan inmoral como abyecta.
Ganar más dinero aún aprovechando las muertes que la pandemia ocasiona?
En efecto, algunos empresarios la piensan así.

Earn more money even taking advantage of the deaths caused by the pandemic?
Indeed, some entrepreneurs think so.
