Ashes used to travel with his human who is a truck driver until the day he went missing at a truck stop. That happened last July in Ohio where a kind woman named Kimberley T. had taken him to an animal welfare organisation in Newport, NY. Since Ashes was fitted with a microchip, the organisation was able to figure out the cat's identity and locate the owner, Matthew B. Hence the emotional reunion you see above.
Our family had gone through a similar experience when our cat, Basya, had gone missing. She just disappeared - and then came home again, in good health though quite skinny, a few weeks later.

We had asked where she was but all she said in response was 'meow!' So the exact timeline of her adventures remains a mystery to this day. Regardless of that, we were very happy to have her back. And I am certainly happy to Matthew B. Hopefully Ashes will be more careful going forward and will stay in the truck at truck stops.

Glad to know the Poor cat re united with her owner in the end. We as human love cats & pets and make a lovely relation with them as they are the animals who receive the love and return it in their full capacity. They can't say anything but their deeds say it all. I'm also happy for you that your cat also came back home safely.
