Is Splinterlands A Waste Of Time?

Hey everyone been sick for the last 2 weeks and just now coming back around to playing but everything is different.

I don't feel the same way I did 2 weeks ago about playing it, It now just seems like a waste of time and in turn a waste of money.

I have been playing for almost a whole year now saw the game slow up last year before the SPS airdrops started and breathed new life into the game.

Much like every crypto boom, I imagine this is were a lot of people began playing, hence helping drive up all the prices of cards, DEC, SPS, and everything else associated with splinterlands.

That's all fine and all but they started cutting earnings from daily battles and even made it impossible to earn unless you are in Bronze League 2.

Before I got sick I dropped around 30 DEC just to rent some cards and make it to Silver League to see if anything has changed.

Even in Silver League I was only able to earn fractions of a DEC. That might have been the nail in the coffin for me before I even realized it.

So now today I have spent the last almost 2 hours playing and have not made any DEC and have been struggling just to win battles.

The game is a cool concept but it feels like every step forward the game takes, it actually takes it's players that have invested 3 steps back.

The DEC/SPS minters must be rich by now and are still knocking down the amount players can earn.

You will make more money learning how to trade on an actual exchange as opposed to card grinding.

Anyhow just my two sense.
