Shame on Azircon and co. for DV this. My Latest Investments: Splinterlands, Rising Star, Leo, HOT

Hi!

eupixello.png

I got back from my summer holiday and started working on small projects, one of them being with OLX.inc, others in Gamification, others in Blockchain marketing and games. Also, I've been nominated the 28th Thought Leader in the world on EdTech https://www.thinkers360.com/top-50-global-thought-leaders-and-influencers-on-edtech-september-2021/. You might know that from one of my previous posts.

So, having some time at my disposal, about 1h/day, free to do what I want, I have decided to continue playing Splinterlands and place myself between those "10,000 - 20,000 people sign up for Splinterlands every day." that @splinterlands was mentioning in this article a few days ago.

Invested $10 in the Summoners Spellbook and unlocked more Splinterlands options.
I'm still learning the mechanics and dynamics. But I have to say I have won my first 5 chests from the last season, which finished yesterday. 🎆🎇🙌

Here is what I got:

regeneretta_splin.png

7_spl.png

sp_open.png

SO MUCH HAPPINESS WHILE OPENING MY FIRST CHESTS!🔺🔺🔺👆👆👆

1 thought: I might use the DEC (which is the in-game currency) to start renting or buying cards PeakMonsters.com

Now, besides engaging some time and energy in Splinterlands and being helped by a good Hive friend to understand more and faster, I must say that I wanted to do more in Rising Star also, which I have left behind while going to the seaside for a back recovery this summer. So I have also decided to buy two packs, using Starbits this time.

1st_pack.png

I felt like a little kid opening them. Plus, they really change the quantum of rewards, the missions I can do now and I think that I am getting ready for the next Rising Star approach: to make more Starbits and to stake them on certain records/songs. I have done this already BUT I have decided to unstake them and to use the small amounts of Starbits to buy more cards. I'm just letting those of you that have your music on RisingStar know that "I'll be back!"

I have a feeling that both Splinterlands and Rising Star are games that will create a higher blockchain gaming revolution for a new generation of kids, artists, workaholics like me :)) and stressed moms, andropause men, all kinds of targeted end-users!

3rd NEWS:
I have invested and will continue to do so in LEO.

My reasons are practical and personal. I won't give and financial advice at this point.
Feel free to check out my March-April posts, I gave enough advice at that point related to CHIA, POB, and HIVE, when this last one began to drop.

Latest crypto news: I've invested more in HOT and from my crypto website connected to the Wyoming IMC, got around 500.000 Gpoints.

ONE OF MY CRYPTO WEBSITES

Those of you who want to talk to me, I am daily on discord, from 10-11 PM, you know which timezone if you know me already.

Thanks for reading and see you in THE GAME!

I tried Splinterlands, but life got in the way. It seemed to remind me about World of Warcraft and I loved that game, but again, life got in the way. Congratulations on your holiday. I hope you enjoyed it.

Yeah... whew! You know... I don’t see anything amiss with this post Regenerette! It’s very very odd to be getting a downvote like this on perfectly good/original content. I take it that you’re still on, you know who’s, blacklist? Have they done any follow through to verify that the content (originally in contention) is actually yours and on your website? It seems to me that if one wants to backUP their content immutably on the blockchain that this should be something encouraged especially if it is content coming from your own source originally. This all seems overly unfriendly and even hostile to nee and UPcoming accounts. @guiltyparties can you give us all (lots of people watching how this plays out.) some clarification on what’s been done to right this situation? The longer this goes on the more harm it does to our blockchain.

@wil.metcalfe, it's been pointed out many times on her numerous accounts that she's plagiarized content - not just from the website she purports to own (which according to @hivewatchers, recently responded and failed her verification - do a search of the comments on her account & I'm sure you'll find the convo) but I believe from other publications like CoinDesk (I don't recall the specifics - again, I'm sure you can DYOR).

When someone continually and repeatedly steals content from other people across multiple accounts, they are blacklisted. That doesn't mean if they sometimes share original content (which seems to be the case here) they suddenly get a pass. She brought this on herself, and for some reason refuses to take responsibility.

And you want to talk optics? Championing someone who publicly bashes the blockchain for calling her on her abuse, and who goes so far as to publicly threaten people? That's really the Hive hill you want to die on, Wil?

Is saying things like this absolutely necessary? If you knew me at all and were able to make any sort of judgment (and why are you judging people anyways?) about me... you would already know that this isn’t the point of what I’m doing here and what I’ve done in the past... it’s not quite as simple as your making it out to be...

Thank you for filling me in. This is much appreciated. I don’t want to be know for championing people who are knowingly abusing and taking advantage of this blockchain and will be sure to DMOR before proceeding.

What I would like to be known for, however, would be a Hive Owner who cares about the social well-being of those on this blockchain.

When things go sideways, when people abuse the good intentions of people on the blockchain (if we are zeroing out people’s upvotes... that’s lost potential... that’s a shame indeed!) those things certainly need to be dealt with... but not at the expense of our brand and marketing!

It wouldn’t do well for Hive to be known as a Zero Out Brand. How do you market that?

I really feel like we are all looking at the same problem... but perhaps we are looking at two different sides of the coin...

Every problem is just that! And opportunity. If we can find the edge... we can all innovate past this point and unlock the true potential of this blockchain!

So yes...

How we go about dealing with bad behaviour and bad players on the blockchain matters just as much as what we are keeping off the blockchain.

So again... thank you for explaining some of what has happened here... and also thank you for letting @Azircon know a little about who I am and what I stand for on this blockchain. You vouching for me was very appreciated.

But yeah... I guess I only have one other thing to say...

As an exercise in thinking outside the “blockchain” is there any other (less aggressive” way in which we could handle abuse on the blockchain?

How we implement the DV matters...

That is what I am championing.

Kind regards,

@wil.metcalfe

You're welcome @wil.metcalfe and I'm honestly done going back and forth with you about downvotes. You have your opinion, I have mine, and I think we've talked enough about it to know neither of us are changing our position any time soon. Not trying to shut you down, just letting you know I have other things I need to spend my time and focus on.

Also a bit of a clarification - in the other comment, I was actually vouching for @azircon, as you said you didn't know who he was. I can see that quickly parsing the beginning of that without reading the context of your previous comment may have made it unclear. I will edit the sentence now to make sure others don't reach the same incorrect conclusion.

I complete understand Traci and I actually feel much the same way. You have been very kind though so that speaks volumes about you. Thank you!

It’s good to know that there are still people in the world who can hold a decent conversation and still disagree... while being civil and friendly. I thank you most for this. ❤️

We can’t always agree in the moment... but as time shifts things around... as we both learn about ourselves and the social environment we find ourselves... we may both evolve (or perhaps solidify further) our beliefs about the things previously discussed.

You have my respect.

@wil.metcalfe
P.S. Thank you for clarifying. I did miss-understand but now it makes perfect sense. Thank you for filling me in further. It’s much appreciated.

No, @will.metcalfe. Initially, there was nothing wrong with the post. In fact, I have decided to give it another try and trust that Hive appreciates its people and their achievements. Until I have noticed a bunch of downvotes from Azircon and co. So I have changed its title. Why was it downvoted from the start by him? Who knows?
Being on the blacklist has been decided to be permanent since I have withdrawn my 1st Hive money and had that conflict in POB where I think some old steamers got upset for me becoming a whale in less than 2 months.

What happened next: 4 articles from this account that I was using after my @regeneretta account was hacked. 4 articles from more than 1k, without inserting the source. And for that, I am still blacklisted and I am sore the second reason for which I will be permanently blacklisted is because I had the gut to express my opinions openly each time.

Tracy is writing from another reality, one where she might believe in her aberrations. I have never used Coinbase for my articles as I do not find it a reliable source. There was never a convo as she says, but she might believe she knows them all.

Hivewatchers DID NOT check or emailed to my website. That website even has my name on it!
They have just asked me to insert "Hive" on the first page of my website and I told them that I have nothing to defend myself against so if there is a behavior to be done, that should imply a single mail to check there if their accusations are supported by true facts. So, there you have it: @regeneretta is blacklisted because they didn't care about sending a simple email to ask in 6 months.

I have taken responsibility each time, Tracy dear. Follow all my interactions.
|When someone continually and repeatedly steals content from other people across multiple accounts, they are blacklisted" 4 times not inserting the source. So 4 articles from how many? What is the percentage of that? Not even a Pareto!
It's so easy for you people to just throw some words and try to influence others to manipulate the facts.

I don't need a pass, dear. I need to know why I have received hundreds of downvotes since being blacklisted. I see others are permanently downvoted but don't receive the same treatment. Is there a mechanics of "dissolving" accounts like mine? I don't feel safe bringing my Quora, Reddit, Udemy, Fb, Minds, EmpireKred communities to this place. Even if I had a huge desire to do so.

I don't feel safe to talk about my global achievements in a place like this, where real facts are changed according to the wishes of orcas, whales, and influential accounts. This is not #decentralization and doesn't follow its values.

Threatening? Who did a threaten? I told a woman this summer that she had been using abusive and aggressive language with an account on Hive that thought it was me. Nobody did anything when that Hivewatcer's friend trashed my Hive friend so I told her we shall carry this on once I am back. I want to write about what happened then, about how violent speech is supported in Hive and who does this, and why. Yes, threaten to disclose much more about Hive.
Hive has to take responsibility for the "degenerative" behavior some users have around here, which has nothing to do with plagiarism but with control, manipulation in different ways, and favoritism granted on specific common grounds.

Hive is not the entire blockchain, dear Tracy. Let's not make huge generalizations. I'm a world leader on one of the first blockchain for more than 8 years, in terms of dynamics, interaction, social media presence, shares, and dividends. Good morning!

I don't think Will will die on any hill, Tracy. You're amusing. Low metaphor usage, not even applied to what Will stands. He stands for so many Hive beneficial values that I'm sure you'll never understand or encompass. He doesn't need to check through any comment or post because he knows this story that I've been through from the beginning just like others on Hive are aware.

I had been shilling about Hive as a new user and even after I have found out that they will keep me permanently blacklisted. I can talk openly anywhere, as many downvotes as you might exercise on my comments and posts in this place.
Never bashed Hive, just told clear facts whenever they occurred #freespeech or not? So I'm being punished for "decluttering" and getting things to the surface? Check the facts: I have been promoting Hive but have taken the liberty to talk about my Hive issues with specific users or the blacklisted "fairness" "publicly", just as you say it, Tracy. Yes, publicly, and this is just the beginning of what I can do. It's Will that asked me months ago to give more chances to Hive. And others that have been supporting me through calls, discord, telegram, whatsapp these months. I am not the only Hive person who sees how the games are done. The others are quiet for now because they don't trust the fact that they can talk openly like I did all these months without being downvoted, accused, abused, and so on.

Go on downvoting this, keep up with trying to manipulate the info.
Take responsibility for every shit that people will start to disclose about the inner games of Hive from now.

Shame on you, people, for manipulating a space that wants to stand for good values, support, community, free speech, etc.
You don't need powerful people. It's something else that you want.

I would say... that someone like this, when they have cooled off and gotten perspective, wouldn’t need to plagiarize cheap posts... look at how well collected and constructed this response is from Regenerette... something isn’t adding up and I wonder why that is?

@GuiltyParties have you actually done a verification of Regenerette’s website/email?

This girl can articulate... why would she need to rip something off to profit on Hive?

She’s saying you didn’t verify and that she’s still blacklisted as a consequence... not to mention the social implications...

I would very much like some sort of confirmation here.

Thank you Reese!

What would your "fix" be to a problem like this? Since it has gone on for months now?? :)

Hi @cwow2,

You are quite right. This particular issue (and many others like it) has been going on quite long enough...

In answer to your question:

These sorts of issues need to fall on the collective minds of the whole blockchain in order to avoid all the human derived problems that stem from this method of implementing Hive integrity.

Isn’t that what blockchain is supposed to be innovating? Consensus? Then why aren’t problems like these being dealt with within an actually predefined process that utilizes DPOS therefore mitigating high levels of stress to the community and the devaluation of the Hive Tokens price. (Yes. I would argue that this is indeed effecting our bottom dollar let alone the social health of the digital environment)

This is a governance problem... and so we need to be dealing with it appropriately.

The trust of our blockchain is at stake and this isn’t happening privately... it’s happening on the public stage and the whole crypto community is watching to see what and how we innovate next.

Relying to heavily on a crack troop of enforcement humans isn’t going to yield a friendly marketable solution. It’s going to do what it’s always done since human history began... get messy.

So again I say... this is a problem for the entire community to solve. And that’s the best thing about Hive. It’s got DPOS. Why not make use of this utility at the base level to solve this problem?

If we don’t take it seriously now... it’s only going to get worse as we attempt to scale and market Hive out to the wider population.

We can only contract so long... eventually we need to take a breath!

For more about what I’m thinking might work in regards to the DV’s implementation...

Here’s a link to @theycallmedan’s post a couple months ago.

My thoughts about DV’ing can be found near the top of the comments. 👇

Thanks for inquiring my friend. Your curiosity and willingness to ask mean a lot to me.

What if we were to only allow the down vote to be unlocked IF first a flag system was implemented. This would serve to warn the post creator that somethings not right and also table those flags for review by the community at large in a central location. We would then be able to see and query who decided to flag the content, how many people flagged it, and why they flagged it.

I don't think this is bad idea. But we already have something similar via HW before spaminator is doing anything.

Even though we can downvote before the flag is in.

Who would look at all the daily post submitted?

We could also implement a random draw that would potentially assign flagged decisions to people. If accepted those people might be able to earn some sort of reputation token as a way of tracking those who care the most about Hive's integrity.

Just like those who vote for Witness's... these would people be signaling that they actually care about their social environment and that of their fellow Hivelanders.

People willing to take on these tasks as they are randomly assigned (opportunities) would then be improving their social standing by being active at this capacity.

This also opens the field for everyone who cares about Hive and systematizes it at the base layer thereby removing much of the human lead controversy around the current closed and offchain system. I say closed because a Discord task force is NOT what people signed up for when they joined Hive (They signed up for the marvels of DPOS and it's utility.) and nor is it what I believe people actually want for the blockchain.

Let's be honest...

Can you see the current methods being used working in 5, 10, 15, 20 years from now?

NO!

Somethings gotta change...

And that all starts with being honest with where we are currently at with our social innovation, thinking bigger, and thinking outside the box.

these would people be signaling that they actually care about their social environment and that of their fellow Hivelanders.

I just dont think the outcome would change much.
If you plagiarsm, you shouldn't earn from stolen content x)
Right??

You are just adding an extra layer of hardship.
If its less people than in the HW discord, then we are screwed since we can have a hard time keeping up with things because we have lifed outside of hive.

Getting more involved would be awesome via your purposal.

But wouldn't the outcome be the same?

I’ve been having a bit of a conversation with @antisocialist about the intricacies of what I think would work better and at scale.

I would include a link to that conversation however I am working from my phone via the Ecency app and I’m not sure how to link to those comments.

Regardless... if your interested please give those comments a read as i have done my best to pare away the issues I believe we are facing on this blockchain and go into more detail about how Hive Integrity could be done... I also talk about what’s at stake if we don’t evolve our processes.

I really do think that there is a better way and I think I have done a good job of explaining things to him... although I do admit... I was pretty frustrated (at the time) with the lack of listening and even some rudeness during that conversation (and some previous) I do believe something productive came of it.

And so again... I hope that you will take the time to also read over that conversation as I think that it adds to this one.

Ok!

In answering your questions...

There is a difference in making this fundamental to the blockchains protocol and how Hive integrity is currently being implemented. Loyalty, buy in, and commitment will always scale with the Hive Blockchain over some 3rd party entity saying it has our (the owners) best interests in mind.

Right now the Hive Watchers group as a small one. (A 3 man crew with a crowd of spectators watching and jumping in every now and then.) If, however, we were to recruit every single active account on Hive we would have a chance to turn each and every one into an owner... (or at least we would be able to differentiate the owners at an active level.)

How? By giving them a chance to be a part of the solution. By showing them why Hive Integrity matters... but by doing that through a process that makes sense and gives them a sense of contribution. Seeing this work will give people confidence making the Hive community grow strong day by day and establishing new and more wholesome social norms.

The outcome isn’t the same (in doing it this way) because it’s a collective effort by the whole community rather than a small group operating without set and defined methods and mandates. It’s the community deciding on important issues through the use of DPOS our main innovation.

That is how we democratize Hives integrity and build up our brand around the valuation of content and community thereby preserving the marketability of the blockchain.

Seeing the utilization of DPOS in play rather than becoming a burden it will re-energize the blockchain and work to catalyze those sitting on the fence about joining (or telling people about) Hive.

So although I completely understand your initial thoughts... (these were mine at first as well when I was initially grappling with the problem in the beginning) I am confident that this would have really good outcomes for Hive as a technological innovation, it’s community of bright forward thinking minds, and those ideas (and enterprises) that would then find the stability to flourish in a user-friendly social environment.

I believe that the Hive price would then respond appropriately as that is what the Hive Token does best... translates social capital on the blockchain and translates it directly into a financial capital that can then be bough or sold in accordance with the social valuation that is perceived.

So, build it.

That isn’t my mission. (At least not directly) My mission is to champion this version of a friendlier Hive Blockchain. My method is to continue to vote my values and influence actively wherever I can and by working to support the witness’s and devs who have similar values and have the same vision for Hive as I do.

The way to build it therefore is collective as this is a collective movement and a wider one throughout the Hive Blockchain.

If this is to be the destination where people can take their potential and compound it... this will resonate with most and the right people will realize it. It’s only a matter of time. Common sense (although rare in times like these) leads to more and more common sense.

I believe in this community... and I believe that the best ideas will naturally rise to prominence.

I’m merely intent on being a catalyst to this end... as you know already my main goal is to build out 2 fitness business’s on the blockchain... once the social environment improves.

Wil, read what you just said. We're not going to treat someone who's articulate better than someone who struggles with a translator or trust them more. There are a lot of issues with the account and we've been through it with them many times. This individual can keep posting and doing whatever they're doing. They can make a community, a token, a game, anything they want. The blacklist doesn't stop them from interacting with the chain.
