Acrida cinerea or also often referred to as the Asian green grasshopper which is a species of insect from the acrididae family, this insect is known for its slender and elongated body shape and striking green body color, the green body color makes this grasshopper blend with the color The environment, beauty and unique body shape make Acrida cinerea a species worth observing.

Acrida cinerea's natural habitat includes grasslands, rice fields and plantations, I found Acrida cinerea in the grasslands while exploring the forest around the house, and this was an extraordinary discovery considering that the grasshopper's body color was very detectable because this grasshopper is very adaptive to green environments, I realized that Acrida cinerea has above average camouflage abilities so that they are very difficult for predators and humans to detect, their green body color not only functions as protection but also helps them hide when looking for food.

As you can see, long and slender antennae are one of the characteristic features of Acrida cinerea, these antennae are very different from the antennae that other grasshoppers have in the wild, both wings of Acrida cinerea are also long and this is very possible Acrida cinerea fly more agile and faster among the grass, apart from that, Acrida cinerea also has another unique feature, namely the way they jump quickly and are often accompanied by short flights.

From the brief observations I have made, it shows that Acrida cinerea eats green plants as its main food source, but Acrida cinerea tends not to cause major damage like that caused by other pest grasshoppers, if you want to find them in the wild then you can go to Padang grass after it rains, they will come out from behind the dense grass to get fresh air, and you will see their unique behavior which is very different from the behavior of other insects.
